Aaron Rodgers Hasn’t Spoken To His Family In Two Years, Family Feud Due To His Love Olivia Munn [Report]

Despite being one of the most successful quarterbacks in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers has one secret he doesn’t like to talk about: his family. Radar Online reports that Aaron hasn’t communicated with his family in over two years, and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon.

Aaron’s brother, Jordan Rodgers, opened up about his family’s riff during a stint on ABC’s The Bachelorette. During a hometown date with JoJo Fletcher, Jordan’s soon-to-be wife, he revealed that he hasn’t talked to Aaron in two years.

“I miss my brother a lot — especially in moments like this because my family means so much,” Jordan explained to the cameras.

Jordan’s brother, Luke, confirmed Aaron’s distance from the family. The last time they talked to Aaron was back in December of 2014. To make matters worse, the Rodgers family doesn’t even have Aaron’s cell phone number.

“The family was told they were no longer welcome in Green Bay,” a source revealed. “If Dad wants to attend a game now, he buys tickets on StubHub or goes through another player’s family.”

Aaron has a history of cutting ties with close friends and family. The source claims that the NFL star canceled on a close friend’s wedding the day before the ceremony. He was supposed to be the groomsman and broke the news over a text message.

He also failed to show up at his grandfather’s funeral. According to Fox News, Aaron used to call his grandfather before every single game in the NFL. It isn’t clear why Aaron didn’t attend his grandpa’s funeral, though it is obvious that he has severed family ties.

The insider also revealed that Aaron returned the Christmas presents his parents bought him in 2014, and he fired a business manager he’s been friends with since high school. This is the same year that he started dating Oliva Munn.

“Aaron doesn’t really… I don’t think he’s really talked with his brother,” Munn shared in an interview. “So, I actually don’t know. It’s complicated – I’ll say that.”

Apart from his family issues, CBS Sports is reporting that one of Aaron’s former teammates slammed him for being self-centered. During an interview with Bleacher Report, Jermichael Finley, who played for the Packers as a tight end, claims that Aaron isn’t a good leader.

“In my opinion, he’s a different guy,” Finley admitted. “I didn’t really know how he showed his leadership. He wasn’t a vocal guy. He really wasn’t a hands-on guy. To tell you the truth, it was all about his game and his stats in my opinion… He was a guy that kept it all in. He kept grudges close to his chest. If you did something, he never really let it go. He always kept it close to his heart.”

Finley continued “I just don’t think he was a natural-born leader. He wasn’t put on Earth to lead.”

The Packers have struggled to gain an identity this season, and it’s only natural that players start to point fingers. For Finley, he revealed that Rodgers was often scared of other players and would close himself off instead of confronting problems in the locker room.

“But Aaron Rodgers is so scared of what guys are going to say that he doesn’t say nothing at all,” he explained. “He doesn’t get vocal. He goes into his little shell. He’s not a guy who hangs out with the fellas. He’s real self-centered.”

The latest reports validate everything Jordan revealed during his run on The Bachelorette. As fans will recall, Jordan tried to downplay the family drama but ultimately revealed that he just doesn’t talk to Aaron anymore.

“Like I said, I have a great relationship with my brother Luke. Me and Aaron really don’t have much of a relationship,” Jordan told the cameras. “It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life, and I chose to stay close with my family, my parents, and my brother. It’s not ideal, and I love him. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in his shoes and have the pressure he has and the demands from people he has. Don’t have hard feelings against him. It’s just how things go right now.”

There’s no telling why Aaron suddenly cut ties with his family. The quarterback has yet to open up about the situation, though many suspect Munn has something to do with it. Earlier this year, a source explained that Munn has “a strong personality” and that every time she has met with Aaron’s family it “has gone badly.”

According to Yahoo Sports, there’s little chance that Aaron will make things right with his family. An anonymous source went on to slam Aaron for being a “head case” and trying to separate his professional and personal lives.

“You can’t live like that, man,” the source said. “The people who live like that end up getting [expletive] over. That’s kind of what’s happening here, but he’s so prideful and will never admit he’s wrong. Ever.”
