Twenty One Pilots Tweets About Tyler Joseph’s Wardrobe Malfunction Ahead Of AMA Performance
Twenty One Pilots wanted viewers of the American Music Awards to know that lead singer Tyler Joseph may not be as spiffed up as some of the other attendees. That’s because according to a tweet sent by the official Twenty One Pilots Twitter account, Joseph will be wearing the pants he spilled Chipotle on.
tyler spilled @ChipotleTweets on the pants he’s performing in tonight. just something to tune in for.

The hilarious admission by Joseph led to an equally hilarious response from Chipotle, who turned to some Twenty One Pilots lyrics for inspiration.
Tyler, all my friends are???? take it slow, please don’t make any sudden moves. https://t.co/LI36uzxMrT

Of course, Twenty One Pilots doesn’t need any gimmicks to get viewers to tune in. Currently in the middle of their Emotional Roadshow World Tour, the Pilots have been selling out venues worldwide. 2016 has been a banner year for Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun as they’ve seen their Blurryface climb the charts and broken Billboard records with their singles.
As previously reported by Inquisitr, Twenty One Pilots achieved a feat only previously achieved by Elvis and The Beatles when they had two singles in the Billboard Top Five at the same time in September. On top of their success on the charts, Twenty One Pilots’ popularity for their live show is making them a hot commodity.
While performing during their own world tour, the Pilots have had to make room in their schedule for some pretty impressive music festivals including the UK’s Reading Festival and the I Heart Radio Festival. The Pilots’ reputation of being dynamic live performers has reached mythical proportions that have ignited live audiences worldwide.
Both Joseph and Dun are high energy performers and have been known to take acrobatic leaps and flips on the stage. Tyler has also been known to spend some time crowd surfing the audience via a human-sized hamster ball. One Twenty One Pilots performance turned terrifying for the audience-friendly singer, however, when he was accosted by the crowd and had his clothes torn and a shoe stolen as he tried to make his way to a high-rise platform.
While the American Music Awards will more than likely bring out a more docile Twenty One Pilots, the duo of Joseph and Dun are undoubtedly excited to be performing at one of their other dream gigs. Last month, Twenty One Pilots had the pleasure of performing on Saturday Night Live for the first time. The experience had Josh Dun especially gleeful.
going to play on SNL tonight. I’m going to throw up on live television I know it. please tell me you won’t watch so we’ll be less nervous. pic.twitter.com/GzP16bZvy8

Joseph and Dun seem to be mesmerized by the current traction of Twenty One Pilots, blissfully expressing thankfulness and joy along their journey. Even last month when the band was forced to stop their concert in Russia due to a bomb threat according to New York Daily News, Joseph turned the frightening Twenty One Pilots experience into a positive personal one.
Josh and I can’t believe we get to play our music in Russia.
So proud.
Moscow was amazing.

And perhaps that’s part of the intrigue of Twenty One Pilots. When the current state of the union has everyone focused on the volatile election and results and Mike Pence’s being lectured while attending Hamilton, Twenty One Pilots reminds as that we turn to music and live performance for entertainment and pleasure.
While there is no word on what song Twenty One Pilots will be performing tonight at the AMA’s, most music lovers would be able to relate to “Stressed Out” because we too wish we could turn back time, to the good ole days. And perhaps we will get a glimpse of Tyler Joseph’s Chipotle stained pants and smile.
