‘RHOA’ Star Kandi Burruss Shuts Down Lesbian Rumors, Claims The Show Is Just As ‘Crazy’ Without NeNe Leakes
Kandi Burruss is ready to hit back on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality star is tired of all the rumors about her secret lesbian life and isn’t holding back any punches. Will Burruss finally put an end to all the rumors?
“Anybody that’s coming at me, you better be ready,” Burruss shared in an interview with ET Online. “I’m letting you have it! I’m not holding back. I’m just gonna say what it is, you know?”
“Before I used to say, ‘You know what? I’m just gonna let it go,'” she explained. “You get tired of that. You get tired always being the one they fell like they can get away with saying stuff about because they know you’re not gonna say anything or whatever. This year? Uh uh.”
So far, most of the drama has stemmed from Williams’ accusations that Burruss had a secret sex dungeon and invited her to participate in a threesome with her husband, Todd Tucker. Burruss denies the sex dungeon rumors and claims that Williams made it all up.
“What happens in the group is just drama, drama, drama for me,” she admitted. “I don’t mess with her anymore! We are definitely not cool. I mean, she made up stuff, got caught in so many lies this year. Can’t wait for you to see it.”
Burruss assured viewers that she is not a lesbian, though she has explored her wild side in the past. Burruss claims that she and Williams once shared a kiss when the cameras weren’t rolling and is adamant that Williams initiated the intimate moment.
“I don’t know as far as her trying to say, you know, a ‘lesbian’ trying to come out of the closet or whatever … so my answer to that is, if I am then so is [Porsha],” Burruss said.
Burruss confronted Williams about the incident on a recent episode of RHOA. Williams denied ever kissing Burruss, but Radar Online reports that Burruss supplied some interesting text messages to back up her story.
The kissing incident happened back in 2014 at a club in Atlanta called Queens. A few days after the incident, Williams texted Burruss and apologized for being so pushy.
“She would’ve never owned it [without those texts],” Burruss explained. “And let’s be clear, I don’t have a sex dungeon. But I thought it was a good idea after she said it. I was like, ‘That might not be a bad idea.’ But, I don’t have one. So, that’s lies. Don’t do that stuff.”
Meanwhile, despite the departure of NeNe Leakes, this season of RHOA is proving to be filled with drama. In fact, Burruss recently sat down with E! News and assured fans that this season “is still just as crazy,” even without Leakes in action.
“You know, it’s not much different. Before, it was a lot of drama, and now, it’s a lot of drama. And the show is still going to be awesome,” she explained. “Don’t get me wrong, I love NeNe and I love her personality. Well, I mean, you know we bump heads, but I think she was good with the crew. But this year, the crew is still just as crazy, and there’s still just as much story going on.”
Apart from drama with Williams, Kandi Burruss is also feuding with Phaedra Parks. While the former friends will try to patch things up this season, they won’t get past being cordial, at least not for now.
“We’re shaky. For moments, we try to be cool, but I always say we’re just cordial. We’re cool enough to be able to be adult enough to be around—because we have mutual friends—to be around everybody without going crazy. And that’s it,” she revealed. “We’ve had some negative moments in this season, was well, and we try to be cordial. And that’s it.”
At the same time, Bravo TV is reporting that Burruss is right in the middle of the drama between Kenya Moore and her boyfriend, Matt Jordan. In the latest episode of RHOA, fans watched Jordan lose his cool during a getaway to Mexico.
Although Moore decided to stop seeing Jordan because of his anger issues, she hinted that a reunion is in the works. In response, Burruss shared that she thinks it’s “scary” that Moore would even consider taking him back.
“I feel like if Matt can control his anger, I feel like I guess you can work it out. They seem to really care about each other,” Burruss said. “But it’s kind of scary to me. When I was in the dating world, I never dealt with anything like that. And you act like you gonna bust a window out my car, honey, oh we[‘re] gonna have a problem. We[‘re] having a serious problem.”
In the end, Kandi Burruss just hopes that Moore will be happy, even if that means getting back with Jordan.
