Why Duggar Family Fans Are Complaining About Season 3 Of ‘Counting On’
The Duggar family is returning to TLC next January, and many fans are excited that the network is keeping the controversial clan on TV. However, others aren’t happy about what they’ve seen in the sneak peek at Season 3 of Counting On.
The Duggar family timed Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo’s wedding perfectly for Season 2 of Counting On. The event took place 11 days before the end of the season, giving producers just enough time to edit the wedding footage and use it in the finale. The producers decided not to air any episodes centered on Jinger and Jeremy’s wedding preparations during Season 2.
Jinger’s other married sisters, Jessa Duggar Seewald and Jill Duggar Dillard, both appeared in almost a dozen episodes of 19 Kids and Counting that followed them as they got ready for their weddings, and these were followed by supersized wedding specials. Many fans thought that TLC would give Jinger Duggar Vuolo’s wedding the same treatment. However, as the International Business Times reports, the network is doing things differently this time around.

Even though fans have already seen Jinger and Jeremy’s wedding, Season 3 of Counting On will follow Jinger Duggar Vuolo as she prepares for the event by choosing a dress and putting together a menu for her wedding reception. Spoiler alert: People has already reported that Jinger and Jeremy’s friends and family members munched on meatballs, pickled okra, cheese, and crackers after the ceremony.
TLC recently shared a sneak peek of Season 3 of the Duggar family’s reality show on the Counting On Facebook page, and some fans are complaining about the network’s decision to show Jinger Duggar’s wedding prep episodes after her wedding special.
“Not so sure that I want to see another wedding planned. These are kind of dragged out and become boring. We’ve already seen the wedding,” Donna Flynn Proffitt wrote on the Counting On Facebook page.
“I enjoy watching the show, and seeing the family change and grow. I’m kind of disappointed that the wedding prep is being shown after the wedding was aired. It’s very backwards,” Katherine Phinnell Elam commented.
“Not a fan of how they did this at all. We’ve seen the wedding, we don’t need to see how it was planned. Move on to her married life, and the life of Jessa and Ben & Jill and Derrick’s time back the USA,” Lauran Gedeon wrote.
Fans of the Duggar family don’t just have an issue with Season 3 of Counting On focusing on the preparations for a wedding that they’ve already seen. As the Stir reports, some fans are complaining about Jana Duggar’s absence in the Season 3 teaser. They’re upset that 26-year-old Jana is still single and stuck living at home with her parents, where she’s expected to cook, clean, and babysit her younger siblings.

Unfortunately for fans of the Duggar family who want to see more of Jana during Season 3, it’s difficult for Duggar daughters to get a lot of screen time on their family’s reality series when they’re competing with family members who are courting, pregnant, or preparing for a wedding.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, 19-year-old Joy-Anna Duggar is the only other adult Duggar daughter still residing at the Duggar family’s massive Arkansas home. However, she may not be around to help Jana out around the house much longer. Joy-Anna is currently courting longtime friend Austin Forsyth, and their relationship will be one of the other big Counting On Season 3 storylines. Duggar courtships usually result in engagements and marriages, so Joy-Anna may be planning her own wedding by the end of Season 3.

Season 3 of the Duggar family’s TLC series will also follow Jessa Duggar Seewald as she prepares for the arrival of her second child. In the sneak preview, Jessa and Jill tease that she may be having twins. As E! News reports, Jessa did the same thing during her first pregnancy.
Do you think the Duggar family’s reality series focuses too much on courtships, marriages, and pregnancies? And what do you think of Jinger’s wedding prep episodes airing after her wedding special? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
