Movie Synopsis: Nightmare Wedding (The Best Man) on Lifetime Television
Although Sandy has had several failed relationships in the past and one regrettable indiscretion with a dangerous man, she is finally ready to wed the man of her dreams. However, Sandy is shocked to find out that her fiancé’s best man is the same deranged man with whom she had the torrid sexual encounter. What Sandy doesn’t know is that her upcoming nuptials will have anything but a happy ending after Roman comes back to claim his bride at all costs.
In the short Nightmare Wedding trailer provided by Lifetime, viewers see a deranged Roman carrying a seemingly dead bride from the trunk of his car to the front passenger seat. Then the mentally-disturbed man slips a ring on the bride’s finger while he claims her as his eternal wife as he promises to be her eternal husband.
Due to the short clip, it is difficult to tell if the bride is really dead. But the scene does remind one of a true story that involved a man who married his dead bride. (However, this movie doesn’t appear to be based on an actual true story)

True Story–Crazed Man Wanted To Marry Bloody Corpse Of Bride
It happened in 1994, the day before Thanksgiving. That’s when authorities say 28-year-old Forrest Fuller killed his 20-year-old girlfriend, Jodie Myers. The obsessed man was jealous that she had started seeing other men. In a rage, Forrest Fuller choked and stabbed Jodie Myers until she was dead. Then he placed her bloody body in the car and threw her wedding dress in the trunk.
Fuller contacted Myers’ mother to tell her that he planned to chop off Jodie’s ring finger and mail it to her with the ring attached. He was finally caught and arrested by police, according to the New York Times. Today, he is serving a 30-year sentence in the New Jersey Department of Corrections.
The Stunt Scenes In Nightmare Wedding
In another clip found below, there is behind-the-scenes footage of Peipei Alena, aka Peppa, the female stunt actress who performs the stunts in many of the scenes. In this clip, Peipei Alena jumps out of the passenger side of the vehicle while wearing a wedding dress and sneakers. Once producers get the shot, the momentarily stunned actress recovers seconds later and is ready for the next stunt. What a great talent!!
