The four part PlayStation series — Uncharted — came to an end earlier this year after the release of what will presumably be the final game in the series — Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End . But, if Naughty Dog, or any other developer decides to make another game, Nolan North, who is the voice of the series’ main protagonist Nathan Drake, says that he’d be interested in doing a fifth game.
During a Q&A with GamesRadar , North was asked if he’d be interested in playing the role of Nathan Drake one more time, and he answered by saying the following.
“Yeah [I’d be interested in Uncharted 5 ]. I’m not happy that Uncharted’s ended, but if they said ‘hey, we wanna do Unch a rted 5 , do you wanna do Nathan Drake, or should we cast somebody else?’ I’d be like ‘no, no.’ It’s very bittersweet, and it’s something that was very special to me. It was seriously the best job that I ever had. If they’re ever gonna do another game, I’m not gonna be the guy that’s holding out for more. I’ll be the guy that’s ready to suit up.”
In the very same Q&A, North expressed interest in playing Nathan Drake in the rumored Uncharted movie. But, as of right now, it looks like they’re targeting Mark Wahlberg for that role.
“The thing about the film is questionable because I’m an on-camera actor, but [I’m] possibly too old [to play Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie]. But, then they talk about Mark Wahlberg, who’s about my age, and it’s a complexed situation.”

There’s still one small piece of Uncharted that is scheduled to come out at some point in the next couple of months, as Naughty Dog is currently working on the single player DLC for the game, which is rumored to be featuring another story with Nathan, and his brother Sam, who we first met in Uncharted 4 .
Other rumors for the Uncharted 4 single player DLC include a story featuring Sam and Sully, a story featuring Chloe and Charlie Cutter, and a story featuring Cassie Drake, who is the daughter of Nathan and Elena.
As of right now, it seems like the Uncharted 4 single player DLC will be the last thing we get that’s related to the series for quite some time.
It looks like we’ll probably get a preview of the single player DLC at next month’s PlayStation Experience [PSX] event, which will take place on December 3 and 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The release date of the single player DLC is unknown, but it probably will become available at some point in early-2017. But after that, it’ll probably be quite a long time before we see another game in the series pop up.
The single player DLC will probably be about the same length as The Last of Us: Left Behind , which didn’t take much more than a few short hours to complete. So, don’t expect another lengthy experience when it’s released.
Another upcoming mode for Uncharted 4 is co-op, which should become available by the end of the year.
There’s been some talk of another studio possibly buying the rights to the series, and rebooting it with Cassie Drake as the lead character. Of course, Nathan will probably be involved in the series somehow if that happens because the hardcore fans of the game would probably reject an Uncharted -related project that didn’t have anything to do with its longtime lead character.
Will we see another full Uncharted game at some point? Probably. But, as previously mentioned, it’ll probably be a long time before anyone considers bringing the series back. Of course, if the movie gets made and it’s a success, someone will probably consider making another game.
