‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton & Adam Levine Allegedly Sitting Out Season 13 Due To Miley Cyrus Feud?
The Voice coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have long been rumored to not see eye-to-eye with Miley Cyrus on Season 11 of the NBC singing show, but are things now so bad between the trio that Adam and Blake won’t return for Season 13?
According to reports, both Shelton and Levine are so over Miley’s antics on The Voice set that they’re allegedly considering quitting the show, at least for Season 13, to avoid sitting alongside Cyrus for another season.
A The Voice insider alleged that “both Adam and Blake feel that they have run their course as judges” and, as the feud rumors continue to swirl around the veteran coaches and Miley, could potentially pack their bags and leave The Voice despite appearing on all 11 seasons of the series so far.
According to the source, both Levine and Shelton are “highly considering exiting at the same time along with Gwen [Stefani],” who will be taking over Miley’s seat for Season 12 of The Voice, debuting in early 2017.
As for why Blake and Adam are allegedly considering quitting, Radar Online’s The Voice source claimed that Levine and Shelton’s long reported feud with Cyrus is one of the biggest factors in the twosome’s supposed consideration to wave bye bye to the show, claiming that neither Adam or Blake were too pleased by the announcement that Miley will be back for Season 13.
“Adam does not really want to return if they bring Miley back,” the source alleged of Adam potentially quitting The Voice, claiming that Levine “is that over it” as the feud allegations, which were first reported by Us Weekly, continue to fly around himself and Cyrus.
“Adam Levine really cannot stand Miley,” continued The Voice insider of how Levine feels about Cyrus on the set of the popular singing competition, adding that the Maroon 5 frontman supposedly thinks that Miley “is the most obnoxious person ever” on The Voice set.
Blake Shelton has also failed to dodge the Cyrus feud rumors, as reports claimed earlier this year that the country star was also not getting along with Miley Cyrus while filming The Voice after she joined the coaching panel alongside fellow newbie Alicia Keys earlier this year.

Radar Online even went as far as to claim that Shelton was growing so tired of Cyrus that he went out of his way to let The Voice producers know that he wanted girlfriend Gwen back on the show after she appeared on the series in 2015, even if that meant she filled Miley’s seat.
“Blake made it clear to the producers that he wanted Gwen by his side for the upcoming season,” the site alleged of Shelton’s proposition for The Voice producers, claiming that Blake was so intent on bringing Stefani back that he supposedly hinted that “if she did not return then neither would he” amid the rampant The Voice feud claims.
The Voice insider also went on to claim that Miley allegedly hasn’t only not been seeing eye to eye with Shelton and Levine, but supposedly also hasn’t been getting along with those behind the scenes, which the site reported is another reason why The Voice producers decided to bump Cyrus from Season 12 and instead invite her back for Season 13.
“They offered Miley the gig for Season 13 because they know it would keep her happy,” Radar Online’s source claimed of why NBC executives opted to invite Cyrus to appear on Season 13 of The Voice, alleging the producers also felt that inviting Cyrus back late next year “would not create any drama over being replaced by Gwen.”
The insider also claimed that those behind the scenes of The Voice allegedly didn’t feel that Miley brought in the younger audience in their droves like they were hoping for, but know that seeing Blake and Gwen, who have been dating for more than a year, together again could potentially see The Voice ratings soar.
The Voice producers are yet to confirm which coaches will be returning to sit alongside Miley on Season 13.
Do you think Adam Levine and Blake Shelton may quit The Voice, even if only for Season 13, because of their feud with Miley Cyrus?
