‘Days Of Our Lives’: Marci Miller Explains Why Abigail Devereaux Doesn’t Want Chad DiMera Knowing She Is Alive On ‘DOOL’ [Spoilers]
Days of Our Lives fans met the new Abigail last week, portrayed by newcomer Marci Miller. On today’s episode of the soap opera, Abby didn’t want Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) telling JJ Devereaux (Casey Moss) or anyone else that she is really alive. Recently, the actress explained why Abigail specifically doesn’t want Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to find out the news.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Billy Flynn said that Chad feels betrayed by Abby to a certain degree. This is understandable. The Days of Our Lives actor also explained that since Abigail left Salem, both of them have grown and are different people. Are they so different that there is no chance of “Chabby” reuniting? Or will Chad and Abigail eventually get back together?
If Chad and Abigail do reconcile, it won’t happen right away. On today’s episode of Days of Our Lives, Jennifer decided to keep Abigail’s secret. She even offered to hide Abby in the attic. Why wouldn’t she want Chad to know she is alive? In the latest issue of TV Guide, Marci Miller explained what is going through Abigail’s mind.
“Abby still loves Chad but knows, deep in her heart, that it’s best if he never knows she’s alive. The last thing her husband needs is to be sacrificing his life taking care of a manic, out-of-her-mind wife. She thinks she is going him a favor by staying dead.”
However, that doesn’t mean Abigail is ready to see Chad with another woman. Days of Our Lives spoilers for November 21 reveal that Chad and Gabi (Camila Banus) will kiss for the first time. “Chabby” fans might not be too happy with this news. Banus knows some viewers might not be pleased but thinks Gabi deserves some happiness, especially after JJ Devereaux cheated on her.
As for Chad DiMera, Billy Flynn has something to say about his character moving on with Gabi Hernandez.
“Abby was, without a doubt, the love of Chad’s life, but their relationship was an incredibly taxing roller coaster of emotions. Gabi makes him feel young. She makes him feel butterflies. She puts a little swagger back in his life. This is easy. Being with Abby was hard.”
Eventually, Chad will find out that Abigail is alive. He will not be pleased with her deception. Even worse, she went to Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) for help.
“Chad considers it a huge betrayal. There’s a lot of confusion and anger and distrust when he finally learns the truth. He and Abby will have some serious s**t to work out.”
Executive producer Ken Corday previously revealed that fans should root for Chad and Abigail. However, he also added that “Chabby” will have a lot of obstacles and issues to work through. This doesn’t confirm that the couple will get back together. However, it does give fans some hope. The Days of Our Lives boss also said similar things about JJ and Gabi’s relationship. However, it is uncertain if Gabi will ever be able to forgive JJ for cheating, especially when she finds out the identity of the woman he slept with. It turns out it is someone both JJ and Gabi know.
