RunDisney’s 2017 New Balance Shoe Designs Revealed, Feature Disney Parks Attractions

Running has become much more than a hobby or a way to get in shape. The Walt Disney Company joined the trend with runDISNEY and the multiple marathons that take place each year at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and other locations. Along with that, their unique New Balance shoes are designed specifically for those races. The new shoe designs for 2017 have now been revealed, and they may be the best ones yet.

Over the years, there have been numerous New Balance Disney shoe designs for the different marathons. Once they are revealed for the upcoming year, they will be officially sold only at the marathons at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Sometimes, they’re extremely difficult to get a hold of and end up featured on online auction sites for incredibly high prices.

Earlier this month, the Marvel Avengers-themed Super Hero Half Marathon took place at the Disneyland Resort in California, and runners who took part in the event got a big surprise.

Yes, the 2017 New Balance shoe designs were revealed for all to see, and they will go on sale at the Walt Disney World Marathon on January 4, 2017. Upon releasing this sneak peek, the official website for New Balance gave a closer look and more info on the new designs.

Haunted Mansion

The Haunted Mansion shoes are likely going to be one of the most popular designs in 2017 as fans can’t get enough of the spooky attraction. This is one of the only views given of the shoe, so it’s hard to see full details. However, it does show that the awesome wallpaper from the attraction is the main design.

The New Balance shoes in the Haunted Mansion design will be the Vazee Pace v2 style.

Toy Story Mania

Toy Story Mania is a great and extremely fun attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney California Adventure, and Tokyo DisneySea. It almost always has a pretty long line and is obviously a popular choice among Disney-goers.

The New Balance shoes in the Toy Story Mania design will be the 880v6 style.

Space Mountain

Space Mountain is an iconic and hugely popular attraction, and it appears as if New Balance has captured it perfectly. The warp-speed look on the shoe makes it feel as if you’re zooming out into another galaxy and ready for a wild ride through the stars.

The New Balance shoes in the Space Mountain design will be the Vazee Pace v2 style.

Mad Tea Party

For those that can’t necessarily handle the spinning wild times on the Mad Tea Party (Tea Cups for short), runDISNEY wants you to at least enjoy the fashion from it.

The New Balance shoes in the Mad Tea Party design will be the 880v6 style.

In past years, Disney has featured New Balance shoe designs based on different characters such as Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, Ariel, Minnie Mouse, Dumbo, and many others. Runners and fans were wondering who would be on the designs for 2017, so it was a pleasant surprise to see Disney attractions featured as the showcase.

If you’re going to be at one of the runDISNEY marathons next year, you need to know how to get first dibs on the Disney Parks shoes. New Balance has explained the “Virtual Queue” in detail and gives specific instructions on how to secure a pair or two or four.

There are sometimes opportunities to get the shoes after the massive influx of people purchase them at the marathons.

New Balance and runDISNEY have truly found a partnership made in heaven, and fans can’t wait for the Disney marathons each and every year. The designs in the past have been incredible, but 2017 bringing forth Disney Parks attractions such as Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, the Mad Tea Party, and Toy Story Mania is something different and amazing.
