Jules Wainstein Losing Control Of Finances: Spending Too Much On ‘RHONY’ Lifestyle?

Jules Wainstein joined The Real Housewives of New York last year, and she had no idea that the season would end up exposing her husband’s affair. Even though Bethenny Frankel had been told that Jules only joined the show so she could get divorced while pocketing some extra money, Jules reveals that she had no idea that her husband would cheat on her and that her marriage would end while filming the show. The new season of The Real Housewives of New York has started filming, but Wainstein hasn’t confirmed whether she’s back on the show.

According to a new Radar Online report, Jules Wainstein is now being accused of being a horrible spender when it comes to her money. Jules wasn’t working when she was filming The Real Housewives of New York, but Wainstein wanted to start her own business and she started playing around with a juice company. However, it sounds like juice won’t be paying for her New York apartment and her children’s private schools.

Wainstein has filed for spousal support from her cheating husband, whose affair didn’t go well after it was made public. He has fought back, saying that he’s broke and can’t afford to pay his wife any spousal support. The two headed to court this week, where he slammed Jules Wainstein’s spending, saying that she’s spending way too much money to suit her brand new lifestyle. Maybe he’s referring to her lifestyle that some of her Real Housewives of New York co-stars are living.

“Bills for all have been paid for up until a year ago,” Jules’ lawyer argued in retaliation to Michael’s claims that his estranged wife is an irresponsible spender and that he’s broke. “That’s when the divorce planning started. Mr. Wainstein decided to have another relationship and all went south. It built up in terms of not paying rent, mortgage and utilities. They claim it’s because he doesn’t have the money, but there is no support for those claims anywhere in these papers. There are draft tax returns that showed up after 8, 9 years of not filing taxes by Wainstein.”

It sounds like Jules’ lawyer has done her homework, as he’s still making money and she sees no reason why he shouldn’t be able to pay for Jules’ lifestyle. Her lawyer accused him of spending his money on himself and on third parties instead of his estranged wife and children. It is possible that she was referring to his mistress.

“The amount exceeds a normal civilian because she has appeared on television,” Jules Wainstein’s lawyer argued.

Michael’s lawyer then fired back, adding that the “needs-based analysis” consists of “overblown expenses.”

He pointed to Wainstein’s Amex bill from 2015, which is around $40,000. This was before she became a star on The Real Housewives of New York, which hints that she had a spending problem long before she started filming the show.

“Their lifestyle was based on overspending that quadrupled when she joined the show. She tried to keep up with her costars,” his lawyer continued, talking about her stint on The Real Housewives of New York, for which she received $60,000. “That’s why they’re here. They had financial difficulties before.”

It sounds like both Michael and Jules Wainstein could use a crash course in spending and personal finances, as they do seem to spend money wherever possible. On the show, Wainstein told Bethenny Frankel that she used her credit card as her salary for being a stay-at-home mother, which could hint that she was swiping the card without thinking about how it would be paid off at the end of the month.
