‘Days Of Our Lives’: Will Rafe Rescue Hope Brady From Prison? Galen Gering Reveals ‘DOOL’ Spoilers

Days Of Our Lives fans were shocked to find out Hope Brady was going to prison. With everything Stefano DiMera put Hope and everyone else in Salem through, viewers were positive she would receive a lighter sentence. However, the judge decided to send Hope to prison for 25 years without the possibility of parole. This is making everyone wonder if Rafe Hernandez will find a way to rescue Hope. Galen Gering talked about the storyline and what to expect.

Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) killed Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) several months ago. As Days Of Our Lives fans recall, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) helped dispose of the body and framed Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) for the crime. Once Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) got Andre out of jail, the soap opera villain started to get his revenge. All of his efforts failed until recently. He managed to get the recording of Hope confessing to murder and played it so all of Salem could hear.

Hope Brady tried to make a deal with Andre DiMera. She wouldn’t fight the murder charge if Rafe and Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) names were kept out of it. He kept his word and all charges except murder were dropped. However, the prosecutor wanted the death penalty. Thankfully, the judge felt that was too severe of a punishment. She did, however, think that Hope deserved to spend 25 years in prison. This was shocking to Salem as well as to Days Of Our Lives fans. What is going to happen now?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Hope Brady will still be seen on the NBC soap opera. Executive producer Ken Corday teased it would be Orange Is The New Days for a little while. In prison, Hope will encounter a few familiar faces, including Hattie, which will be portrayed by Deidre Hall, who also plays the role of Marlena Evans.

Some viewers are wondering if Rafe can save Hope from prison now that she has been sentenced. Galen Gering revealed to Soaps.com that his Days Of Our Lives character will certainly do his best.

“Well, hopefully, he is going to rescue Hope. He made a promise to Bo that he was going to do that, he is madly in love with this woman, and already, things have turned for the worst. But, if I know Rafe and his dedication and what he can and will do, he is going to rescue her.”

Rafe was confident that the case was going to be thrown out of court. This is especially true after Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) provided documentation from 13 witnesses about how badly Stefano tortured Hope on Days Of Our Lives. This included when he kidnapped her and held her hostage. Everyone in Salem though Hope was dead and Stefano simply laughed. Speaking to the judge, Hope explained that she didn’t go to the DiMera mansion with the intent to kill Stefano. She doesn’t even remember pulling the trigger. However, she did and he died.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Hope Brady‘s prison sentence is not going to stop some Salem residents from trying to help her. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) will work to try to free Hope. Rafe will also be working to find a solution and a special extended fall preview clip from NBC reveals that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) will also be working the case.

“We’re dealing with it one day at a time and just trying to move forward. But obviously, the burden is massive, emotionally for her and for him, potentially physically for her being an officer of the law in prison. I mean, it’s not good.”

When asked how Rafe is going to cope with Hope Brady’s prison sentence on Days Of Our Lives, Galen Gering confirmed that he would be busy working. The actor said that is a normal reaction, to have something to distract from the situation. However, at the same time, he is going to try to find a way to get Hope out of prison.

“With that said, by burying himself in his work, he’s also going to be working tirelessly to try and get her out of where she is and into a better position.”
