Tyler Posey Confirms BFF Stiles Will Be Okay In ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6

Did your heart break for Stiles at the Season 6 premiere of Teen Wolf? Breathe, don’t worry. Tyler Posey confirms that his best friend Stiles is going to be okay.

Teen Wolf has come so far since it premiered in 2011 but like all good things, it’s come to its end. MTV’s Teen Wolf confirmed at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year that Teen Wolf is preparing to say goodbye with the sixth and final season, Variety reports.

It’s been a great run for the Teen Wolf cast and for the millions of fans on social media but Teen Wolf will finally draw the curtains after the 20th episode of the sixth season. For the Teen Wolf showrunners, they just felt that bringing the drama to a close after 100 episodes seemed just like the perfect curtain call.

The sixth season of Teen Wolf has just premiered and the episode is such a huge and dramatic episode to open its last season. Entitled “Memory Lost,” the Season 6 Episode 1 of Teen Wolf saw fan-favorite character Stiles Stilinski, played by actor Dylan O’Brien, get abducted by the ghost riders and fans watching Episode 1 are left heartbroken as the remaining cast seems to have forgotten about Stiles.

While this turn of events in Teen Wolf has become emotionally challenging for the characters and for the fans, the new twist has been introduced by writers to make up for actor Dylan O’Brien’s new hectic schedule, Forbes reports.

When O’Brien started Teen Wolf in 2011, he was just this barely popular supporting actor for Tyler Posey’s Scott McCall. But as the years went by, O’Brien has started to find a niche for himself in the movie industry and for the past few and upcoming months, will be tied to filming for Deepwater Horizon, American Assassin, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure. Because of this, Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis tells TVLine that Season 6 of Teen Wolf will have to come up with a way to cope with O’Brien’s unavailability.

“We approached this season with the knowledge that we’d have limited access to Dylan O’Brien because of his burgeoning movie career, and thinking, ‘If this is the last 20 episodes of Teen Wolf, how do we give everyone a really big send-off? We came up with this story that creates this big mystery about Stiles and the memory of Stiles.'”

Well with what happened with Stiles, Teen Wolf fans are losing their minds and are taking to Twitter their heartbroken emotions over the Episode 1 of Season 6.

Well, O’Brien might be very busy with his other projects but he assures fans that this is not going to be the end for Stiles on Teen Wolf. O’Brien’s co-actor Tyler Posey confirms that his best friend Stiles is going to be alive and well, and it’s only going to be a matter of when and how the Teen Wolf pack are going to be bringing him back. With graduation at the horizon, these guys will just have to do something quick!

Tyler Posey tells E! Online:

“It’s gonna be OK, babies. It’s gonna be OK. I know how much you guys are connected with Dylan, and I know how much you love him, but Dylan is one of my best friends. So I miss him quite terribly sometimes, but I’m letting you know I make it through it OK. So if I’m gonna be OK, you are gonna be OK. I promise. I promise.”
