Everything seems to fall in favor of Brazil these days as their team has no signs of any injuries. Their star players, Philippe Coutinho and Neymar, are up and running to face Peru tomorrow. Thiago Silva came on the latter minutes of the last game as a substitute to give him a rest, which will further bolster their defense against Peru.

Given the form Brazil is on recently, manager Tite will be more than happy to reprise the same squad.

Juventus full-back Dani Alves is in line to make his 100th appearance for the five times World champions against Peru.

The flamboyant right-back is almost certain to become the fifth man to hit the century mark for Brazil, following Cafu (142), Roberto Carlos (125), Lucio (105) and Claudio Taffarel (101).

Alves was quoted saying, as reported by ESPN, “It gives me great joy and satisfaction to reach this landmark. At times I don’t know how many good things I’ve lived through and am living through with the national team.”

He also had some warm words for the new national team manager, Tite, who have changed the performance of the team massively since his arrival last summer.

“The greatness of Tite has turned all of this around. He doesn’t worry much about those who are playing, but about those who aren’t playing. This way you maintain a high level of productivity. A team is made up of a large squad.

“Tite’s not just a great coach, but also a great manager. He’s not satisfied with what we’ve achieved so far, because our qualification isn’t yet assured. He will take us down the right path, and this reassures us.”
