Katy Perry might not be Taylor Swift’s only celebrity nemesis. Did Taylor Swift secretly ditch her former “sister” and best friend Kellie Pickler?
Taylor Swift is known for bragging about her supermodel girl squad, which includes A-listers like Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, and Karlie Kloss. But what about her old BFF Kellie Pickler? Did T-Swift let her friendship with the country singer fall by the wayside on her road to fame?
According to Radar Online, in early interviews captured in a new fan book called Taylor Swift: This Is Our Story, the 26-year-old superstar couldn’t stop raving about her best friend, American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler.
In 2008, Taylor told the Reading Eagle that Kellie was “like a sister.”
“People say we’re such opposites, but that’s what makes us such good friends. She’s incredibly blunt. I love that about her.”
Swift mentioned that when she was just 17, she wrote songs for Pickler while they toured together, according to CMT.
“It was so cool jumping into someone else’s feelings for a minute and writing from their perspective. It was like I was writing my very first song. Exhilarating.”
At the same time, Kellie Pickler was equally going on and on about Taylor Swift, calling her her “closest friend” and saying she was “smarter than a lot of 40-year-olds” and “competitive.”
Maybe the competition was what drove these two BFF’s apart. Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler have not been photographed together since 2009. Kellie Pickler said herself that she is definitely not a part of Taylor Swift’s girl squad.
“I’m not a party of any squad, per se.”

Kellie Pickler is not the only frenemy the superstar has. Swift wrote an infamous revenge song, “Bad Blood,” about onetime friend Katy Perry and former friend Demi Lovato for calling her a fake feminist.
Last month, Demi Lovato slammed Taylor Swift for tearing other women down.
“I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment.”
Things aparently got tense a few weeks ago between Perry and Swift at Drake’s birthday party. John Mayer, who dated both women, was also in attendance, according to Radar.
Taylor Swift wrote her infamous breakup song, “Dear John,” after her breakup with John Mayer.
At the party, Swift and Perry apparenly posed with all of the same guests for photographs — just never with one another.
Taylor Swift has had some issues with other celebrities in the past year or so. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were the latest to slam Taylor Swift in a video the reality star and her rapper hubby posted to Snapchat. The video revealed that Swift actually pre-approved the lyrics of “Famous.”
After “Famous” was released, Taylor Swift publicly criticized the song so harshly that Kardashian and West wanted to end it by proving that West had spoken to her prior to releasing the song.
Following the release of the Snapchat, Taylor Swift was quiet on social media for quite some time. She posted a long note about the situation and then went radio silent for almost a month on Twitter.
“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b*tch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control somones’s emotional response to being called ‘that b*tch’ in front of the entire world.
“Of course I wanted to like the song. I eanted to beleive Kanye when he told me that I would love the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship.
“He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.
“Being falsley paineted as a liar when I was never given the full sotry or played any part of the song is character assassintation. I would vert much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
