‘The Voice’: Adam Levine & Blake Shelton Quitting Season 13 Amid Miley Cyrus Feud?
After months of unconfirmed reports that there’s a nasty feud brewing on The Voice set between Miley Cyrus and her fellow coaches, namely Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, the feud rumors are now boiling over once again, and it sounds like Miley could be driving Adam, Blake and Gwen Stefani away from the series.
Radar Online is alleging that Miley hasn’t exactly been seeing eye-to-eye with Adam or Blake on the set amid the feud rumors, and new claims are suggesting that Shelton may have actually had a little something to do with the producers’ decision to have Cyrus sit out Season 12 and return for Season 13 while urging them to bring back Gwen Stefani.
“Blake made it clear to the producers that he wanted Gwen by his side for the upcoming season,” a source claimed of Gwen’s much-anticipated return to the show to sit alongside Blake, Adam and Alicia Keys, alleging that Shelton, who has been dating Stefani for the past year, supposedly almost made it “seem like if she did not return then neither would he.”
But while Miley is so far the only coach confirmed to return for Season 13 of The Voice so far, it sounds like the rest of the coaching panel for the second half of 2017 is still up in the air, but the lineup could potentially be without Shelton, Stefani and Levine.
Reports are claiming amid the feud rumors that Levine, who has so far appeared on all 11 seasons of the NBC singing show alongside Blake, could actually be ready to sit out Season 13 because of his widely reported season-long feud with Cyrus.
“Adam does not really want to return if they bring Miley back,” a The Voice insider told the site of the possibility of Levine sitting out his first round since the NBC series first began back in 2011, adding that Adam is “that over it” amid the feud accusations.
“Adam really cannot stand Miley,” Radar Online’s insider then continued of the drama between Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus, though neither Levine nor Cyrus have ever officially confirmed that they’re locked in a feud. “[Levine thinks Cyrus] is the most obnoxious person ever,” added the source as the feud rumors hit the headlines again.
The Voice insider then went on to reveal that Levine was actually “thrilled” when he heard that Stefani would be back to sit alongside boyfriend Shelton next year, but reported that Levine didn’t exactly shed a tear after it was revealed that Cyrus would not be appearing on Season 12.
“Adam was thrilled,” The Voice source said of how Levine reacted to the news that Stefani was in and Cyrus was out for Season 12. “[Adam] is just really glad that Miley is gone and Gwen is coming back.”

But it sounds like while Shelton and Levine are both pretty happy to be reunited with Gwen on Season 12, the following round of shows could actually be the first in the series’ history not to feature both veteran coaches, as Radar Online’s insider alleged that Blake and Gwen could potentially follow Levine out the door and quit should Adam really decide to exit the show next year.
According to the source, the alleged The Voice feud between the coaches has now gotten so bad that Levine could take both Shelton and Stefani with him if he quits to avoid sitting alongside Cyrus once again, even if Adam’s absence turns out to be for just for one season.
“Both Adam and Blake feel that they have run their course as judges,” the site claimed of both Adam and Blake potentially leaving The Voice amid the Miley feud rumors, adding that Shelton and Levine are allegedly “highly considering exiting at the same time, along with Gwen” after appearing on all 11 seasons so far.
Would you watch The Voice without Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine but with Miley Cyrus?
