Donald Trump Claims To Have Barack Obama Bombshell
Former rumored presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared on Fox & Friends Monday and told viewers that he had “very big” news concerning President of the United States Barack Obama.
Always a showman, Trump did not divulge the details, but said he would do so on Wednesday, most likely via Twitter. So what is the big news?
“Something very, very big concerning the president of the United States,” he said on the show. “It’s going to be very big. I know one thing — you will cover it in a very big fashion.”
Politico reports that Trump has in the past been known to traffic in the so-called ‘Birther’ controversy, a conspiracy theory that claims that President Obama is not a natural born citizen of the United States, and therefore is ineligible to be president. In his statements on Fox & Friends however, Trump did not confirm or deny his Obama bombshell involved the Birther movement.
The president, in response to the conspiracy movement, released his birth certificate in 2011. Trump has endorsed Republican Mitt Romney for the presidency.
The Cleveland Leader reports that Trumps announcement of his pending announcement came on the same day another alleged bombshell is scheduled to drop. A website, Octsurprise.com, has a running countdown set to expire at 6:30 pm (Eastern) tonight but the site offers little information.
“One of your presidential candidates isn’t being honest with you,” the website’s Twitter bio reads. “Stay tuned to find out which one it is.”
October Surprise is a term in American political jargon referring to a late-in-the-campaign-season news event with the potential to influence the outcome of an election, usually the presidency.
Trump did not reference the website on Fox & Friends, so the timing could be coincidental.
Do you think Donald Trump’s news about President Barack Obama could play into who wins the election?
