Seth Rollins Vs. Chris Jericho Announced For ‘WWE Roadblock’ On December 18
It looks like Seth Rollins — who has been in the WWE Championship picture ever since his return back in May — is now being taken out of the title picture, at least temporarily.
The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which will be the site of WWE’s Roadblock show on December 18, just announced that one of the show’s featured matches will be Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho.
As of right now, the only other announced match for the show is Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. It’s unclear if it’ll be a title-for-title match, or if Reigns will end up dropping the United States Championship before the show.
Most are expecting the Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens partnership to come to an end at some point in the near future. But, now that Jericho vs. Rollins has officially been announced, it looks like the team of Jeri-KO will be around for just a little bit longer.

Both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have been on a quest to once again become WWE’s top man, but so far they’ve both come up short in their efforts at regaining Monday Night Raw’s top prize.
There is a ton of speculation surrounding both Rollins and Reigns, as there is a rumor going around that one of the most popular factions in WWE history — The Shield — is going to reunite during the Raw vs. SmackDown match at Survivor Series. Of course, one of the three members of the ex-faction — Dean Ambrose — is currently on the SmackDown roster, so unless WWE decides to move him over to Raw, the reunion will be temporary.

As for Jericho and Owens, they are expected to split at some point. Will it be before the end of the year? Maybe. But they may hold it off until the beginning of next year, depending on how long Chris Jericho will want to stick around for.
Kevin Owens pinned Chris Jericho in the main event of last week’s Raw show. So, we’ll probably get a followup to that on tonight’s Raw show. But, the breakup probably won’t happen until after the Roadblock show.
We could see a bit of a preview of both the main and co-main event of the Roadblock show tonight, as WWE may book a Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins tag team match to close out the show. If they do, it would be the first time that Rollins and Reigns have teamed up as babyfaces since The Shield broke up back in 2014.

WWE will probably hold off on officially announcing the two main events for next month’s show until after Survivor Series. It’s unclear if they’ll have a number one contender’s match to decide Kevin Owens’ next challenger, or if they’ll just flat out announce Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho.
If you’re hoping for a change to WWE Raw’s main event scene, you’ll probably have to wait until after the first of the year to see it, because that’s when former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor is expected to return to action. There was a rumor going around that he was going to return at the Roadblock show, but he’s since denied that rumor.
If you’re already a fan of the four men who are in WWE’s main event picture, then you’ll enjoy the next two months, and, who knows? Maybe they’ll drag these feuds out until WrestleMania 33. But, all we know for now is that they’ll be continuing on until December 18 and then we may finally get the Jeri-KO split.
