Katy Perry Birthday Party Sees Singer Dress Up As Vampire

Katy Perry held her birthday party early this year, hosting a Halloween-themed fancy dress celebration at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles.

The star doesn’t turn 28 until Thursday, but that didn’t stop her partying Saturday night away while dressed as a vampire. The pop star was snapped at the shindig with current beau John Mayer, who appeared as a zombie hunter.

This being Katy Perry’s birthday party, the guest list was thick with fellow celebs, including Kristen Stewart, who left Robert Pattinson at home to join in the festivities. One guest from the party told JustJared.com:

“[Kristen] looked happy and was surrounded by her friends the whole time.”

Stewart opted out of the fancy dress, but the pictures at Perez Hilton suggest there was no shortage of spooks, ghouls and zombies at Katy Perry’s birthday party.

The past twelve months have been a trying time for Perry. In December 2011, the star split from husband Russell Brand, with the pair finalizing their divorce before the New Year kicked in. Since then, Perry has been dating Mayer, though their brief relationship has been plagued by stories about break-ups and “concerned” friends.

The pop singer’s rocky love life hasn’t affected her career, however – in April, she declined an offer of $20m to appear as a judge on the current season of American Idol.

Either way, they certainly looked happy on Saturday night. Happy (and early) birthday wishes to Ms Perry.
