Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are heading for a nasty custody battle that will set them back up to $10 million, it has been claimed.
The couple, who announced their divorce in September, have not spoken to one another ever since Jolie made the decision to file the legal court papers.
Sources say the actress wanted out of her marriage to Brad Pitt after an altercation on a private jet between the actor and their son Maddox left her fearing for her children’s safety, strongly insinuating that Brad may have been abusive toward his own child.

Angelina had since been laying low with all of the children after being awarded temporary full custody until the case goes to court and the soon-to-be divorce pair verbally fight it out in front of a judge, hoping that one of them will walk away with their desired outcome.
Angelina is strongly pushing for sole custody, which sources say is strongly implying the idea that she doesn’t think Brad Pitt is capable of taking care of the children. The supposed fact that she’s kept the kids away from their father in the midst of the divorce battle speaks volumes, an insider added.
Hollywood Life goes on to stress how Brad Pitt’s anger at Angelina for blocking him from seeing his children will eventually lead to a nasty custody battle that will see them spend a fortune to make sure that their hopeful outcome goes how they expect it to.
Jolie wants sole custody while Brad Pitt is happy to co-parent with his soon-to-be ex-wife, who has no intentions of accepting the offer Pitt has made her, evidently leaving them no option but to resolve their differences in court.

A source tells the outlet, “They will likely hire the best lawyers, have the best psychologists handling the children and due to the amount of children involved, this could go down as the most expensive custody battle ever.”
“The costs of the custody battle may include — weekly or biweekly visits with a therapist for each child which can cost up to $3-500 an hour and monitoring for him with each of the kids. However long he is going to visit them is several hundred dollars an hour. Brad and Angie’s team of lawyers are several thousand dollars and hour, too. It all adds up when the entire process drags on for months.”
Angelina Jolie has canceled all upcoming events in the wake of her shocking divorce and custody battle with Brad Pitt, who has followed the same route, Extra confirms, having backed out of all the campaigns he was expected to attend in recent weeks.

Angelina and Brad Pitt’s Hollywood friends are devastated by the couple’s split and can’t believe how vicious it has turned between the two. George Clooney, in particular, shared his inner feelings about his best friend’s divorce, saying that he was gutted by the news and wishes the duo nothing but the best.
With the way things are currently going, George better keep on wishing because, from what sources have gathered, the divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina isn’t the issue at hand. It’s about whether or not Angelina will walk away with full custody or not.
Brad Pitt won’t let it happen by all means, but do you think Jolie still stands a chance?
