Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Wedding Date Revealed! Is Miranda Lambert Invited?
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani celebrated their first year anniversary as a couple last month, but they already have their eyes set on their wedding. There have been rumors coming out that The Voice co-stars will tie the knot this year, but the two haven’t confirmed any plans of getting married soon. However, a recent report revealed the couple’s wedding date which will probably get their fans excited.
According to Radar Online, the 40-year-old country superstar and 47-year-old rocker chick will get married on May 5, 2017. The No Doubt frontwoman will walk down the aisle at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills next year. A source revealed that the two had a hard time agreeing on anything, but they eventually managed to compromise.
“Gwen wants to go big on this — and Blake wanted to make it an informal affair down home in Tennessee or their new place in Oklahoma — but he’s not willing to go to the mat against her,” an insider said.
Apart from the date, other details were also revealed including their wedding song. According to the website, Shelton and Stefani have chosen to perform “Blaze of Glory” by Bon Jovi on their big day. The “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker originally had 700 people on her guest list which included other famous musicians, but her boyfriend doesn’t want the ceremony to look like a Woodstock concert.
Blake and Gwen eventually decided to cut down their guest list to 400, and many people are wondering if they would invite their former partners Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale. It is confirmed that Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston and husband Justin Theroux, Courteney Cox and fiancé Johnny McDaid, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, Luke Bryan and Brett Eldredge will be their special guests.
Regarding Shelton’s ex-wife and Stefani’s ex-husband, a source claimed that they are making sure to invite them plus one, which means that Miranda can bring along her boyfriend Anderson East. Since the blonde beauty wanted to have an extravagant wedding, she reportedly agreed to pay all the expenses. The country charmer, on the other hand, will be spending for their honeymoon. The two also agreed on signing a pre-nuptial agreement to protect their assets.
“They’d be crazy not to,” a source said. “Gwen’s worth about $100 million, and that’s about $60 million more than Blake.”
Us Weekly reported a week ago that Shelton and Stefani are starting to finalize their wedding arrangements and they have already met with the vendors. A close pal revealed that they are hoping to get married before the end of 2016, but until now they haven’t confirmed their engagement which makes it unlikely for the couple to tie the knot this year.
A few months ago, there had already been reports of Blake and Gwen getting married. HollywoodLife reported that the couple have invited Lambert and Rossdale to attend their wedding. Unfortunately, their exes aren’t that happy about it, especially the 33-year-old country singer.
“Supposedly, Gavin politely declined,” an insider said. “But Miranda stormed out of the room when she learned about the invite. This might be moving a little too fast for her.”
The Pistol Annies member may appear to have already moved on from her ex-husband, but she isn’t ready to be friends with him. Lambert is currently happy with her relationship with East, and the two have been open about their feelings for each other. The songstress recently celebrated her birthday, and her boyfriend sent her a sweet message on Instagram.
Inquisitr previously reported that Miranda Lambert wanted to get married again and have her own kids soon. Her boyfriend Anderson East also wanted the same, which means that the two may tie the knot in the near future. If they decide to push through with their plans next year, there is a chance that their wedding would clash with that of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
