The WWE fired Hulk Hogan after a videotape was released online that featured him making racist comments while talking about his daughter’s music career. Recently, Hulk’s daughter Brooke Hogan spoke with TMZ and said that people had been calling her dad about returning to the WWE in time for WrestleMania in 2017.
Hulk Hogan appeared on Eric Bischoff’s podcast this week and said that he has had no contact with anyone from the WWE about returning and that his daughter was wrong. Hulk said that when he asked her what the comment was about, Brooke Hogan told him she was “just starting it up.”
“Brooke needs to get the big yellow boot to the head…. Brooke’s running around on TMZ and made the statement about me and wrestling and WrestleMania. For the record, like I said, she needs the big boot to the head. I haven’t talked to anybody about WrestleMania. I just need to put that to rest. I asked Brooke, ‘What are you doing?’”
Despite this, many people feel that Hulk Hogan is coming back soon. The WWE has mentioned his name more recently after completely ignoring his existence for a few months after the videotape was released. Shane McMahon recently talked about him in an interview, and Hogan has been reinserted into WWE Network promos. This is a huge change since the WWE deleted Hulk Hogan from their website.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, there was also a recent post by Hulk Hogan after Donald Trump shockingly won the United States presidential election. As Hulk said, it was a miracle win for Trump and thanked the people for the shift and what he called “the truth.”
That has some meaning to it since Hulk Hogan has been preaching about how he was wronged when Gawker released the tape of Hulk and a close friend’s wife. Hogan won the lawsuit against Gawker for releasing the tape, but this was also the same tape featuring Hulk Hogan dropping the racial comment that got him fired.
Donald Trump spent much of the presidential campaign seeing videos of him released where he denigrated women and sending out his own tweets where he insulted anyone who angered him, and it all made him look like a despicable human being. Regardless of all that, Donald Trump won the election and became the president-elect.
Maybe if people are willing to overlook sexist and racial comments attributed to Donald Trump and elect him as president, people can overlook racial comments attributed to Hulk Hogan so he can get back into the WWE.

The Washington Post reported that Vince and Linda McMahon donated $6 million to a super PAC supporting Donald Trump. They donated $1 million as recently as September 22. If the McMahon family has no problems with Trump’s reported racial and sexist comments, it seems strange that they would care about Hulk Hogan and his comments from years back.
At the end of the day, there are very few people who don’t believe that Hulk Hogan will return to the WWE. The Ultimate Warrior delivered hate speech worse than anything Hulk Hogan ever said and the WWE brought him back, put him into the WWE Hall of Fame, and immortalized him despite all his hateful words.
What Hulk Hogan said is nowhere near as damaging as what Ultimate Warrior said and Hogan’s one racial statement pales in comparison to the multiple comments made by Donald Trump on his own Twitter account. Will Hulk Hogan be back for WrestleMania in 2017? He denies there has been any contact, but the chances are very likely the WWE will bring him back eventually.
