WWE News: Update On Why LeBron James Ignored The Undertaker At Recent Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game

Published on: November 10, 2016 at 10:08 PM

It is no secret that the legendary WWE icon known as The Undertaker will be returning to television this Tuesday on the 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE . No one knows exactly what he will do in his first WWE appearance in months, but fans know what he did last week when he visited the Cleveland Cavaliers. They also know who wanted nothing to do with the “Dead Man” and that was future NBA Hall of Famer LeBron James. Why?

The Undertaker went to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game and showed up rather unexpectedly and kind of out of nowhere. He showed up there with his real-life wife, Michelle McCool, and Dana Warrior, the wife of the late WWE legend, the Ultimate Warrior.

For close to an hour, The Undertaker stood outside the locker room of the Cleveland Cavaliers and met with a number of members of the team. Kevin Love and others were happy to pose with the WWE legend and WrestleZone even reported that Taker and Dana Warrior were invited guests of the team.

Some had thought that the trio of wrestling personalities just showed up randomly and expected to be accepted. No, they were invited and showed up at the request ot the Cavalier’s brass.

Still, there would be no meeting with LeBron James.

The opening night of the NBA season for the Cavs came and went without The Undertaker being able to meet LeBron James. Some may find that to be a snub or rude, but it appears to be something that is par for the course with “King James.”

According to Cleveland Plain Dealer , by the time The Undertaker arrived at the arena , James was already in the locker room. An hour or so went by and the WWE legend hoped to meet with James, but it simply would never happen.

Some think that The Undertaker showed up because it seemed that James was a huge fan of the former WWE Champion. Back in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, LeBron James wore a shirt with The Undertaker on it and it almost seemed like the two had a weird connection.

Well, not so fast.

Getting to see the four-time NBA MVP and one of the best players in the history of the league is no small feat. Even for The Undertaker.

No matter who you are, if you don’t have a prior engagement, an appointment, don’t know him personally, or haven’t set it up with the team, then you’re not getting in to see LeBron James. Even if the request comes through all the right people and channels, if James isn’t interested, he’s not going to meet you.

It is also said that LeBron James is not big on PR stunts and doesn’t want to be the reason that anyone has the spotlight brought about them. He’s his own man and wants others to be the same in their chosen field.

Well, it’s hard to say that The Undertaker hasn’t made a really big name for himself in the worlds of professional wrestling and sports. He’s a household name in the ring and when it comes to the wrestling ring, he’s as close as a legend as anyone could ever be.

In the past, it has been shown that LeBron James is a fan of WWE, wrestling, and even The Undertaker . Still, that doesn’t mean he’s willing to meet with anyone and everyone who ends up at a Cleveland Cavaliers’ game. While the wrestling legend may have been invited to the NBA game and to meet the team, it didn’t seem to be anything personal that James didn’t meet with him. Sometimes, it’s just the way that things are.
