WWE News: Hulk Hogan Optimistic After Donald Trump Victory
Donald Trump is the new President-Elect of the United States. He also happens to be a WWE Hall of Fame superstar, inducted into the celebrity branch in 2013 and inducted personally by WWE chairman Vince McMahon. The two have been friends since Donald Trump helped promote the WWE in the early days of WrestleMania.
Many WWE stars posted their thoughts on the fact that Donald Trump is now the next POTUS, with some disappointed (Sasha Banks) and others more levelheaded (JBL). However, one person was very happy about this, and that person was Hulk Hogan, who took to Twitter to exclaim how happy he really was.
Thank you God for the highly favored miracle, thank you for the shift and thank you for the truth! Only one love HH4Life

That is an interesting statement by Hulk Hogan, calling Donald Trump winning a miracle and a shift, as well as something about “the truth.” It also makes it seem like there is something under the surface for Hulk Hogan when it comes to his approval of Trump winning.
The WWE fired Hulk Hogan after a video was released of him making racist comments. Between the fact that the tape was a pornographic home video with his friend’s wife, and the fact that the Hulk Hogan racial comments were about someone his daughter was involved with, the WWE felt they had no choice but to fire Hulk Hogan.
During his Presidential run, a video surfaced with Donald Trump in it. In the video, Trump, who was freshly married, was talking about grabbing women by the “pu**y,” and he also made comments about having sex with other men’s wives, saying they should because he is rich.

The comments had little to no effect on Donald Trump when it came to the American public. While Trump lost the popular vote, he won the Electoral College vote and is the new President, even with court cases coming up concerning alleged fraud and alleged rape claims. He won anyway.
If the American public can ignore all of Donald Trump’s sins and elect him to be the next President of the United States, maybe there is hope that the public can forgive Hulk Hogan when it comes to his racist comments, and Hulk Hogan can get back into the WWE.

There is also the fact that Bloomberg reported that WWE chairman Vince McMahon and his wife Linda McMahon made donations of $5 million to Donald Trump. They did this despite all the claims against the new POTUS. Keeping Hulk Hogan out of the WWE seems petty for one statement when Trump has said much more than that on video over the last year.
There is also the fact that Trump has known Hulk Hogan for as long as he has known Vince McMahon. He hosted WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V at Trump Plaza in 1988 and 1989. At the 1988 event, Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant battled in a tournament for the world title. The next year, Hulk Hogan won the world title from Randy Savage in the “Mega Powers” storyline finale.

Donald Trump returned years later for an on-screen storyline. He bought the WWE in a storyline angle and ended up battling Vince McMahon for control. There was also the WrestleMania 23 match between Trump’s Bobby Lashley and McMahon’s Umaga, where the losing wrestler caused their sponsor to have their head shaved. McMahon ended up bald after the match.
Now, with rumors flying about Hulk Hogan wanting to return for WrestleMania in 2017, Trump’s victory might give him hope that he could return as well. If the public could ignore the sins of the new President-Elect, Hulk Hogan should find forgiveness just as easily for one racist comment.
