Chris Brown Thinks He & Rihanna ‘Belong Together,’ Sending Her Gifts After Drake Split
Chris Brown has allegedly been telling friends that he and ex-girlfriend Rihanna “belong together” following her breakup with Drake last month.
New reports are alleging that Brown supposedly wants to get back together with Rihanna and is “going hard” when it comes to dating her again by reportedly sending Rihanna gifts to prove he’s serious about getting back together.
Hollywood Life claimed following Rihanna and Drake’s breakup, which followed the now former couple allegedly dating exclusively for the past several months, that Brown had supposedly been showering Rihanna with gifts.
“[Chris is] saying he’s going to get her back, that they belong together and stuff,” an insider told the site of Brown’s plans to start dating Rihanna again after the twosome split for good back in 2013 after dating on and off since 2008. “[Chris] definitely sees this breakup from Drake as his opportunity.”
The site then went on to allege that Chris is so serious about dating Rihanna again that Brown sent her and her family a slew of gifts while the pop star headed home to be with her family in Barbados last month.
An insider revealed that, after dating Rihanna for so long in the past, Chris knew that “the way to [Rihanna] is through her family,” and so he allegedly decided to send the “This Is What You Came For” singer’s nearest and dearest a number of gifts including “booze, flowers, a bunch of toys for all the kids.”
The site’s source also claimed that Brown “did some painting for her” to prove that he’s serious about dating again now that they’re both single.
“[Brown] had it all covered up but it was something he did himself,” Hollywood Life reported of Chris’s personal gift for Rihanna in October. “[Chris is] saying he’s going to get her back, that they belong together and stuff.”
Chris Brown has not publicly confirmed the reports, though the claims came shortly after Urban Islandz reported that Chris never actually believed that Drake and Rihanna were getting serious, despite People confirming back in May that the two had actually been “secretly dating for months” before they seemingly confirmed their romance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
“[Chris] knows [Rihanna] and he knows that she is not in love with him like the way he is with her,” a Brown source told Urban Islandz earlier this year of how Chris felt about Rihanna dating Drake, who he reportedly been feuding with for some time.
“Drake is trying hard to get Rihanna to love him,” continued the source before Drake and Rihanna’s breakup, “but you can’t force love and she will always love Chris and there is no doubt about that.”
But while Brown has allegedly been making it clear that he wants to start dating Rihanna again, she reportedly has no plans to reconcile with her former boyfriend anytime soon.
Hollywood Life claimed that Rihanna has not been taken in by Chris’s charms and allegedly even referred to their controversial 2013 reconciliation, which came four years after Brown was arrested for assaulting Rihanna, as being a “mistake.”
“She made that mistake and will not return to him romantically,” a source told the site of how Rihanna really feels about Brown amid the dating and reconciliation rumors.
“Could they be friends, could they return and record with each other again? Of course,” the insider continued but admitted that while the two may reconcile their friendship, Rihanna will never start dating Brown again. “That is all it is going to be, if Chris has his hopes up he will surely be disappointed in the result.”
