Taylor Swift Closeness With Lorde Grows: Taylor Throws Birthday Party For Lorde
Taylor Swift’s closeness with Lorde is undeniably great considering the impressive birthday party that Taylor just threw for Lorde.
Taylor Swift is clearly good at arranging the best birthday parties judging by how well she handled Lorde’s 20th birthday party which was held in downtown New York. The huge birthday party highlights the closeness between the two musicians. Some high-profile guests such as actor, Tavi Gevinson, Karlie Kloss, and comedian Aziz Ansari were also present. A few other musicians also attended the party. Taylor had also prepared a card with some sentimental words for her friend.
“Thank you for the music you make, the advice you give, the thoughts you provoke, and the way you’ve made my life more beautiful since the first day we met up in New York and ate burgers on a park bench and got attacked by squirrels. I. Love. You. So. Much. Ella,” read the words on the card.
Some of the decorations that Swift had set up include balloons spelling out “U R 20.” Taylor arranged the birthday dinner at ZZ’s Clam Bar which is located in Manhattan. Lorde, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor stated that it was the best birthday that she has ever celebrated. Swift also presented a chocolate birthday cake with candles on top.
Later after the party, Lorde posted some of the photos of the event on her Instagram page. One of the photos features Taylor and Karlie kissing Ella on the cheeks. There was also an interesting caption through which the birthday girl expressed her gratitude and how she felt about the birthday party. She described it as the best party she has ever had.
“I am ur kid and u love me so hard I could burst. here’s to our three magic years of best friendship and more moments like this, squished between angels,”stated Ella in the photo.
A few other photos of the event showcase the pop stars enjoying themselves what can be described as a fun-filled event. Taylor and Ella have been friends for three years and although Swift claims she has learned a lot from the young musician, it is clear that Swift has had a lot of influence on Lorde’s life. Both have amassed great success in their music careers. The day was quite special for Ella who posted a rather long Facebook post through which she talked about her obsession with adolescence. She also stated that since she was 13-years-old she has been documenting things about her teenage life. It was clear that she had a bittersweet moment remembering her teenage life whose end was marked by her 20th birthday.
Ella deliberately decided to get out of the spotlight about a year ago and she stated that the decision was a good one because she has been experiencing joy. She also added that she turned inward towards her family and friends so that she could learn more about herself. The artist also revealed that after an entire year of massive moments, she came up with the best lyrics she has ever written in her entire life. She stated that she has to work on the lyrics a while longer to so that the song can be the best that it can achieve.

This can only mean that music lovers should expect a big one from her when she finally releases the new song she is working on. Ella has the best support she could ask for with friends like Taylor swift on her side. Taylor’s closeness with Lorde has been nothing short of comforting and encouraging for the now 20-year-old musician and hopefully the support will continue into the future.
