Phaedra Parks On Sons Dylan And Ayden: How Are They Thriving Without Apollo Nida?
Phaedra Parks was shocked when she learned that her husband, Apollo Nida, had been starting fake companies behind her back, using several fake identities. He was busted and he was charged with identity theft and fraud. Two years ago, he turned himself in and he’s currently serving eight years behind bars. Phaedra has been working on getting her life together after becoming a single mother to two sons, but it sounds like she’s able to make it work. Despite Apollo being in prison, Parks is managing to make life great for her sons.

According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing that her two sons are doing great, even though their father is currently locked up. While Ayden remembers his father as he was a toddler when he was locked up, Dylan may not have a strong memory of her father. He’s currently 3-years-old, which means he was just a year old when Nida turned himself in. Apollo does call home and talk to his sons, but for Dylan, Nida may just be a voice on the phone. Despite this, Phaedra Parks reveals that her sons are doing great and they have wonderful role models and active lives.

“Ayden and Dylan are doing great! Dylan is an active 3-year-old. He loves karate, sword fighting, and matchbox cars. His big brother, Ayden, is a happy, talkative, and inquisitive first grader. His favorite subjects are math and science. After school he enjoys playing golf, his Cub Scout den activities, and keeping stats on all his favorite football teams. At home they love to play together and learn viral dance challenges,” Phaedra Parks points out in her blog for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to Bravo.

When Apollo was sentenced to eight years behind bars, Parks decided to get several male friends involved in her children’s lives so they have role models for them. Phaedra does want her sons to have a relationship with their father, but it may be healthier for them to have powerful role models compared to a dad in prison. This was a decision she made early on.
And while Phaedra has looked for role models for her sons, she hasn’t exactly put dating as a top priority for herself. Even though Parks flirted with men on the previous season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it sounds like there’s a long way between flirting and dating. And based on her busy career and her two sons, it sounds like Parks isn’t looking for a new man these days.

“I am not looking for a man, as I know the right man is looking for me. When he finds me, I know he will be God fearing, kind, generous, conscientious, but most importantly he will love my sons as much as I do. My first priority is always my children, so to date me, you have to court them as well,” Phaedra Parks explains in her blog for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to Bravo.
It is definitely interesting that Phaedra is letting her perfect man find her rather than her going out to look for him. That just shows that Parks is ready for a relationship, but isn’t really actively looking for him. It will be interesting to see if she finds someone on this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
