Nick Young Is Loving Life Post-Iggy Azalea Break-Up
Looks like everything is coming up Swaggy P.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young is apparently scoring on and off the court post-Iggy Azalea break-up, according to a new article from SOHH.
“NBA superstar Nick Young wants every woman to know he’s all Paloma Ford’s,” the article starts before showing off recent posts from Young’s Instagram account. “The Los Angeles superstar and overnight R&B wifey have flooded social media with their feelings for one another.”
And it’s true. The pair have littered the world with photos that suggest their relationship is moving hot and heavy. The fact that she looks an awful lot like Azalea, as reported by Inquisitr, notwithstanding, Young seems to be hitting home runs everywhere.
Young recently welcomed his second child with his other ex-girlfriend, Keonna Green. His affair with Green effectively ended his engagement with Iggy as detailed by her on Twitter at the time, as reported by E! News.
“I broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women into our home while I was away and caught them on security footage,” she said in one Tweet. Azalea then tweeted a follow-up expressing her anger toward Nick.
“This is just like a second shot to the chest. And I feel like I don’t even know who the hell it is I’ve been loving all this time. People in this world are really f–ked up.”
She’s since gone on record since to blame Young for the delay of her most recent album Digital Distortion, which won’t hit stores until January of next year.
“I needed a lot of time,” she told told People recently. “I mean, you wake up one morning and your fiance is having a baby with someone else, you’re going to need some time, right?”

It also took a toll on her music, noting that the songs she wrote when she was engaged were completely different in tone to what she was feeling after everything fell apart.
“I just kind of felt like, on top of me needing the personal time, then feeling, ‘Okay, I’m single now. I want to have sexy songs. I want to say stuff about being single.’ I obviously didn’t write that on my [original] album because when I wrote it I was about to get married … I don’t want to go and promote my album and get asked about my relationship that has just crumbled.”
Not that it effected Young much apparently. In addition to scoring in his relationship with Ford, he’s also starting for the rejuvenated Los Angeles Lakers. The team is off to a 3-3 start following a dismantling of the Western Conference champs from a year ago, the Golden State Warriors. They even, as reported by the LA Times, ended Steph Curry’s streak of consecutive three-pointers in a game en route to a 117-97 victory Friday night.
“It helps if Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson can’t make any shots. The Warriors were nine for 35 overall and two for 20 from three-point range. Curry made a three-pointer in 157 games, 196 including the playoffs. That streak ended Friday night, and the Lakers capitalized in a big way.”
And Young was definitely part of that defensive force, as reported by HoopsHype, blocking Thompson during the victory. In general, according to Silver Screen and Roll, Young has completely reinvented himself and his game under new coach Luke Walton.
“Young has been good for Los Angeles, and just as unexpected as Young finding his way onto the roster for defense is the way he’s been able to be effective on the other end of the floor. Rather than the ball-pounding black hole Young was the last two seasons, Young has found effectiveness as an off-ball weapon for the Lakers.”
It looks like Swaggy P is here to stay.
