‘Days Of Our Lives’: Theresa Donovan’s Plan Could Be Her Biggest Mistake – Jen Lilley Teases ‘DOOL’ Spoilers

Days Of Our Lives is losing a great character. Nearly six months ago, Jen Lilley announced on Instagram that she would no longer be on the NBC soap opera. Now that November is here, it is the last month that Theresa Donovan will be on television screens. Fans have gotten a hint of what her exit storyline will be. Spoilers for this week reveal that Theresa starts to put her plan in motion. However, it could be her biggest mistake and she may never forgive herself for it. The actress spoke out on social media and told viewers to be prepared for some heartbreaking moments.

It turns out that Theresa Donovan’s past is coming back to haunt her in ways she never anticipated. In Mexico, she was involved in a complicated relationship with a member of the cartel. That man wants her back and knows she is in Salem. Last week on Days Of Our Lives, Theresa told her parents, Kim (Patsy Pease) and Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) what she was going to do. The only way to protect Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Tate was to give her ex-boyfriend what he wanted.

This week on Days Of Our Lives, Theresa will start to put her plan into motion. The first step is to make Brady and everyone else believe she is back to her old ways. Like Jen Lilley’s character told Kim and Shane, she would have to break Brady Black’s heart. Even though Kim wasn’t very nice to Brady after Tate was rescued from Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson), things have changed. Expect Kim to plead with Theresa to tell Brady what is really going on. However, Theresa already knows how Brady would react and she’s right. He’s too impulsive and would act before thinking in an attempt to handle the situation.

It is one thing to try to protect Brady and Tate by acting like she is back to drinking and partying. It is quite another to actually do drugs. Unfortunately, that is exactly what Theresa Donovan is going to do on Friday’s episode of Days Of Our Lives. Spoilers from Soap Opera Digest reveal that Theresa Donovan will start to party again, but fans know she won’t be having any fun. The DOOL character realizes she will lose Brady and Tate. However, it is a chance she is willing to take in order to save their lives.

The next step in the plan is for Theresa to go back to Mexico with her ex-boyfriend. While pretending to be one thing with him, she will try to gather information that could put him away for good. It is risky, but it is a chance she is willing to take. Theresa believes this is the only way. No matter what happens, it is a bad decision and one that she will ultimately regret.

By having everyone believe she is back to partying, Brady will have trouble trusting anyone again. He gave his entire heart to Theresa. He believed in her when nobody else did. He gave her chance after chance. He was so proud of the woman she became. Even though it was not addressed on Days Of Our Lives, there were probably some characters that were inspired by her change for the better. All of that goes down the drain. Also, what about Tate? He won’t remember Theresa if she is gone too long. That means he will only have others to tell him what kind of person his mother was. He will be told that she valued drinking and drugs more than him. That’s a lot for a kid to handle, whether they are young or grown up.

Eric Martsolf shared Days Of Our Lives spoilers regarding his on-screen partner. He said that Theresa would leave Salem “suddenly.” He also teased that Brady Black doesn’t like to stay single for long. That doesn’t mean he will be able to jump into another relationship. It just means that he won’t want to be alone.

A few months ago, Jen Lilley spoke to Soap Central about leaving Days Of Our Lives. When asked if she had any regrets about her time on the soap opera, she said no and hopes to return one day.

“Absolutely not. I loved every minute. I still hope to come back.”

It sounds like Jen doesn’t plan on staying away forever and if given the opportunity and if the timing were right, she would return. However, with Brady, Tate, and everyone else thinking Lilley’s character took off to party, nobody will welcome Theresa back. Even if she told Brady the truth years later, he probably would never believe her. She would want to see her son, but the drugs and abandonment could prevent her from doing so. Remember, the only people who know the truth are her parents. While her plan seems like the only way right now, it will have serious consequences down the road and that’s if the cartel doesn’t find out she is playing both sides.

Recently, Jen Lilley wrote on Instagram that it is her final month on Days Of Our Lives. She teased that there will be heartbreaking scenes up ahead. If the future is anything like last week, fans are going to be in tears. She called the writers plan for Theresa Donovan “brilliant.” It is creative, but Jen Lilley’s exit should be more positive.
