O.J. Simpson Reportedly Trying to Sell Knife He Allegedly Used To Kill Wife
O.J. Simpson is reportedly trying to sell the knife that he allegedly used to kill his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Simpson was accused of murdering his wife and Goldman on June 12, 1994. The former running back was found not guilty, but several people still believe that the former running back was responsible for the murder. CBS reports that Simpson was later found guilty for “wrongful death” and ordered to pay $33 million to the families of the victims.
The National Enquirer reports that Simpson, who is currently in jail for armed robbery, is now trying to sell the alleged murder weapon for $5 million. The Enquirer reports that Simpson secretly kept the knife after the murder and will reveal its location for a minimum of $5 million.
The story hasn’t been substantiated yet.
An Enquirer source said:
“[O.J. is] looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can’t be traced directly to him. O.J. said he’d reveal the location once a firm deal — for a minimum of $5 million — was reached.”
The source added:
“It’s not just about the money. O.J. will get sick satisfaction from putting one over on the cops and Ron Goldman’s family. He’d love to think he’s outsmarted them.”
Do you think O.J. Simpson is really trying to sell the murder knife?
There are several parts of this story that just don’t ring true.
- The missing knife was one of the major reasons that Simpson was found not guilty. If he has the knife, it implies that he actually did kill his wife.
- It’s unlikely that Simpson would have been able to hide the knife from police.
- Simpson is currently in prison. How is he going to make a $5 million knife sale?
But then again, there are some aspects of the story that ring true.
- It’s O.J. Simpson. He’s exploited the murder for money in the past. Last year he wrote a book called I Did It which gave a hypothetical account of what would have taken place if he had committed the murders.
Simpson won’t be a free man until 2017. Do you think he’ll leave prison with $5 million sitting in his bank account?
