‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: Key Characters Speculated To Meet In Epic Scene
Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7.
It has been another busy week on the set of Game of Thrones as filming wrapped in Bilbao, Spain, and moved to Seville. According to Winter is Coming, the nearby ruins of Italica will represent the infamous Dragonpit.
As you might have gathered from its name, the Dragonpit was an area built by the Targaryens to house their dragons. Think of it as a sort of dragon kennel.
All of Game of Thrones‘ heavy hitters are in town, sparking speculation that fans will finally see every major player on the canvas converge in one location and possibly share a scene.

If it happens, it would mark a historic moment for the HBO series. Ever since Game of Thrones began, its sprawling cast has been spread far and wide.
While Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) has traveled as far north as The Wall and as far east as Mereen, the majority of Game of Thrones’ characters have stayed in their respective territories.
That trend appears to be changing, as it has already been confirmed that a multitude of characters will be mixing it up in Season 7.
We already knew that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) would venture out of the North to meet Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), presuming those set leaks are legitimate. There are now reports that they are not the only characters set to meet for the first time.
Here is a rundown of the most exciting spoiler developments over the past week:
Fans’ Hope for Cleganebowl Restored
When King Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) declared the end of trial by combat, he not only crushed his mother’s dream of defeating The Faith via her unstoppable Franken-Mountain, but he also crushed a lot of fans’ hopes.
Here’s an explanation: For a while, Game of Thrones fans have been postulating the “Cleganebowl” theory. According to this theory, Sandor Clegane, better known as The Hound (Rory McCann), would come face-to-face with his brother Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) for a final showdown.
Due to the events of Game of Thrones Season 6, this theory would not go down as many had hoped or predicted, although its essential premise remains intact.
Game of Thrones fan site Winter is Coming has confirmed that both Rory McCann (The Hound) and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (The Mountain) have been spotted in Seville.

Based on the similar reasoning used to deduce that Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke being in Bilbao meant Jon Snow and Daenerys would see each other, we can realistically surmise that The Hound and The Mountain will too.
Like the Bolton vs. Stark grudge match in Season 6, there is a lot of bad blood between the Clegane brothers. The Mountain is the one who disfigured The Hound’s face. Will The Hound finally settle the score? We shall see.
One more thing about The Hound, since it is known that he is traveling north with the Brotherhood Without Banners, can we assume that he runs into Arya (Maisie Williams) along the way? If he does and he is still alive to go to Westeros, can we also assume she has taken him off her kill list?

While a great deal of the Game of Thrones cast is in close proximity, certain members have previously filmed at Game of Thrones headquarters in Northern Ireland at the same time and not shared the screen.
We do know for certain that some of them will cross paths. Whether they will all share the screen at the same time is still speculative at this point.
So, what has brought all of these disparately located characters together? We will have to wait and see to know for sure. Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres next summer on HBO.
