Movie Synopsis: Love Always, Santa on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries (HMM)

Lilly Banks is a precious and intelligent 7-year-old girl who decides to write a letter to Santa about her mother, Celia Banks. Celia has been grieving over the loss of her husband, who died three years ago leaving her to raise their daughter all alone.

Now, Lilly’s heart breaks for her mother, but even she sees that it’s time for Celia to move on and find joy again. Hopefully, when she sends Santa her Christmas wish, it will be granted.

Santa, aka Jake Granger, the successful children’s book author, receives Lilly’s letter. Immediately, he is taken by the little girl’s sad story. Soon, Santa and the lonely mother begin corresponding by mail and a flicker of romance ignites and intensifies with each new letter.

For Celia, who has spent the last few Christmases alone, speaking with Jake by mail creates a sense of excitement and makes her feel almost like she’s in love again.

But, it’s silly, really. After all, she is communicating with Santa Claus and doesn’t even know his real name.

Meanwhile, Jake Granger leaves his home to promote his latest kids book, Tiny Wish, at the local book store . Little Lilly doesn’t know it yet, but she is in for a special delivery. It just so happens that Lilly attends Jake’s book reading and is so overjoyed that she insists that Jake have hot chocolate and doughnuts at her mother’s shop right next door.

Upon meeting, Jake and Celia are immediately attracted to each other. And Jake’s heart skips a beat when he realizes that this Lilly is the same one who wrote to him about her mother, Celia.

Something unspoken and magical happens between Jake and Celia in a short period of time, leaving her with the feeling that they already know each other.

But Jake doesn’t want to reveal the surprise just yet, deciding instead to tell Celia and Lilly at the appropriate time. However, the secret is already out of the box since Lilly figures out that Jake, the author, is really Santa.

Will this new revelation draw the “love by mail” couple together. Or will Celia sense an air of deception and send Santa and his letters packing, instead of sealing them with a kiss?
