Kelly Ripa Co-Host: Megyn Kelly On ‘Live’ After Roger Ailes Allegations
As the Kelly Ripa co-host search carries on, journalist and political commentator Megyn Kelly is scheduled to join Ripa as guest co-host for the Live with Kelly broadcast on Wednesday, Nov. 9, the day after Election Day. The Kelly-Kelly team-up comes on the heels of Megyn’s recent sexual harassment allegations against Roger Ailes, the former CEO of Fox News Channel, where Megyn Kelly hosts The Kelly File every weekday evening.
Will Megyn broach the subject of her recent allegations against Ailes when she appears as Ripa’s co-host on Live with Kelly? As reported by the Chicago Tribune, Megyn Kelly’s forthcoming book, Settle for More, contains details of Ailes’ purported mistreatment against the Fox News host. The new book from Kelly Ripa co-host Megyn Kelly is expected to be released on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Will further sexual harassment details be revealed in Megyn’s book?
In a report from Radar Online, the entertainment website published reportedly leaked portions of Megyn Kelly’s upcoming Settle for More, highlighting Megyn’s allegations against Roger Ailes. Radar previewed portions of the book describing Ailes’ inappropriate behavior towards Megyn, in which Megyn describes the former CEO offering to help her career “in exchange for sexual favors” and Ailes’ various attempts at “physical advances.”
“I would be called into Roger’s office, he would shut the door, and over the next hour or two, he would engage in a kind of cat-and-mouse game with me — veering between obviously inappropriate sexually charged comments (e.g. about the ‘very sexy bras’ I must have and how he’d like to see me in them) and legitimate professional advice.”
According to Radar, Megyn Kelly’s Settle for More chapter on Roger Ailes was supposedly a last-minute addition to the soon-to-be-released publication, drawing some questions as to the sexual harassment claims’ apparent legitimacy. Megyn’s book is being published by HarperCollins, which is owned by the same multi-industry company as Fox News. Ailes resigned as Fox News CEO in July following other sexual harassment allegations.

Megyn Kelly’s upcoming appearance as Kelly Ripa’s co-host follows a extended stretch of celebrity co-host guests for the Live with Kelly matriarch. After former Live co-host Michael Strahan left Ripa’s side in May, the undeterred TV host has carried on with various entertainers appearing each day as her co-host guests. Reportedly, frequent co-host guests and Live fan favorites like Jerry O’Connell and Fred Savage are in the running to be a permanent co-host replacement for Ripa. Do you have a favorite Live guest co-host you hope to join Ripa permanently?
During the week of Megyn Kelly’s co-host appearance, Kelly Ripa will also welcome various other celebrity guest co-hosts to the Live with Kelly stage. On the morning of Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, Ripa will be joined by screen actor and Ghost antagonist Tony Goldwyn as co-host. After Megyn Kelly’s anticipated co-host spot on Nov. 9, Ripa will co-host with baseball all-star Alex Rodriguez on Thursday, Nov. 10. The Live telecast for Friday, Nov. 11, will find Ripa co-hosting the show with Talking Dead host and former MTV personality, Chris Hardwick.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kelly Ripa’s co-host search recently extended to public auditions, as Ripa held the “Live with Kelly and You” contest seeking video hosting submissions. After narrowing the non-celeb co-host search to the top five finalists, the hosting winner was eventually revealed to be Pennsylvania high school teacher Richard Curtis. Curtis acted as co-host with Ripa on Live‘s broadcast for Friday, Oct. 21.
