Phaedra Parks Ends Divorce But Fails To Tell Apollo Nida That He’s Legally Single?

Phaedra Parks is returning for another season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and this year, she’s ready to put the past behind her. For a while, Phaedra hesitated with the divorce because she wanted to make sure it was the right decision for herself and her children. But it sounds like she’s not holding back this year, as she pushed forward with the divorce. Parks announced this week that the divorce was finalized, and it sounds like she may have failed to call Apollo Nida with the news that he’s now legally single.

According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks may have failed to tell her now ex-husband that their marriage is officially done. This week, Parks announced that her divorce has come to an end, and she’s officially a single woman. But it sounds like no one told Apollo Nida, who is still serving time behind bars. He has been locked up for about two years now and has six years left before he gets close to his eight-year sentence. He was found guilty of fraud and identity theft in relation to various business dealings.

“If the divorce is truly finalized, it’s news to him,” someone from Apollo’s camp revealed to TMZ, according to Bravo, as the news broke that the divorce was indeed over for the couple.

Parks sat down with TMZ’s Rags Rants recently, where she opened up about the divorce proceedings. When she signed the documents and got the phone call from her lawyer that the divorce was done, she didn’t have a huge press conference. Instead, she probably just told her mother and celebrated in peace. But it sounds like it was such a quiet party that even Apollo didn’t learn of the news that he was legally divorced.

One can imagine that Phaedra Parks just wanted to focus on her sons, Ayden and Dylan. She’s been on the show for years, and Apollo’s business dealings were not a part of the storyline of the show. Even though he clearly betrayed her and didn’t put his family first, they do still talk constantly for the sake of their children. He’s currently serving his time in New Jersey at the Fort Dix location, where Joe Giudice is also serving his time. And that is far away from Atlanta, where Phaedra Parks lives full-time with her sons.

“I mean, we are parents together, so we talk frequently,” Phaedra revealed during her interview with TMZ, according to Bravo, sharing that they do talk and that her sons are doing very well without their father.

Parks also added that she has no plans of visiting Apollo behind bars with her sons. The last time she went to see him was with the children on the season finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta last year. It is a shame that Nida hasn’t seen his children in over a year, but Parks wants to protect her children from the prison environment.

“I can’t say what I’m gonna do, but at this point in time, it’s not in our schedule,” Phaedra Parks revealed about her plans to visit Nida. “I don’t know if I’m saying that I’m actually looking. I mean, I’m open to it, but that’s not at the top of my list. I think it works better when it happens sort of naturally. I think when people are looking for men, that’s where they look and get into trouble.”
