Did CMA Awards Try To Scrub Dixie Chicks And Beyonce From Social Media After Racist Rants?

Though the performance of Beyonce with the Dixie Chicks brought the house down at the CMA Awards, the CMA tried to scrub their website and social media of all things Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks due to racist comments. The Dixie Chicks joined Beyonce to do a version of her song “Daddy Lessons.” It is being reported that the CMA just wants the whole situation to “go away.”

Beyonce has never been one to go quietly, but she tends to get her point across quietly, and with grace, like the way she reportedly decided that she didn’t care for Kim Kardashian, which is said to be the reason that their children have never played together, says the Inquisitr. This information surfaced after Kanye West called out Jay-Z for his insincere concern over the Paris hold-up.

This morning, Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks had a prominent place on the CMA website, but after it was bombed with racist comments, the site was scrubbed of the event, says TMZ. The honchos at the CMA reportedly caved to racist and harsh comments about the performance and the fact that Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks support the Black Lives Matter movement.

Many of the comments should never be repeated, but they were all of the same tone.

“That’s right folks. Beyonce performed at the CMAs last night & is on a mission to take country music away from us, hardworking white people!”

And, of course, the use of the derogatory comment of choice by racists.

“Beyonce overrated racist n***er bitch.”

A source from the CMA is now saying that the performance was “probably a mistake to begin with.”

After the story hit social media, the CMA started adding Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks back in, but not before the Dixie Chicks posted their own thoughts.

“If we all turn this up really loud, we can drown out the hate.”

If country music really wants to continue to fight the battle of the perception that country music isn’t just for white rednecks, then they should probably stop people from posting “you don’t belong here!” under photos of Beyonce at the CMA Awards, according to the Los Angeles Times. It seemed like an organic connection, Beyonce is from Texas, and so are the Dixie Chicks, and the version of Beyonce’s “Daddy Lessons,” complete with fiddles, seemed to rock the house.

But even in 2016, the haters still have a voice, especially when it comes to trolling.

“Can someone please explain to me why Beyonce is playing at the #CMA? Go home Beyonce. You’re not country!”

Sadly, on the CMA Facebook page, the vocal majority had a problem with Beyonce gracing “their stage.”

“Figures they would pair up. One who has no respect for the American military and another who has no respect for the American law enforcement. Ashamed they would be allowed to perform at the CMAs at all.”

Country Living Magazine asked their readers what they thought of the Dixie Chicks and Beyonce performing together, and racists didn’t disappoint. CMA Awards host Brad Paisley, on the other hand, put out a welcome to the music all-star.

“Frequently, country crosses over. But every now and then a major pop superstar wants to be a part of this too. Welcome, Beyonce.”

But fans responded that Beyonce was not welcome, and one person in particular felt like she needed to respond in all caps.

“SHE DOES NOT BELONG!!!! When have they ever invited ANY country singer to their BET awards…NEVER!!!!STOP IT. I bet Alan, George and Vince think CMT has gone NUTS.”

Do you think the CMA Awards have a long way to go?
