‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Spoilers: Which Seattle Grace Doctors Could Get The Ax In Episode 7? [Sneak Peek]

The drama is heating up in Season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy. Following Alex’s (Justin Chambers) controversial legal troubles, Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is shaking things up, and none of the doctors are safe.

Which Seattle Grace doctors might get fired in episode 7? According to Buddy TV, the next episode of Grey’s Anatomy, titled “Why Try to Change Me Now,” features a new consultant who puts everyone on high alert.

“The arrival of a new consultant puts all of the doctors on edge, especially once she starts stepping on toes in the OR,” the official synopsis reads. “Amelia and Owen bring their personal problems into the hospital, while April explores some uncharted territory.”

There’s no telling who might get the ax in the coming episode, though ABC has released several exciting photos from the episode. The images center on the new consultant and everybody’s reaction to the changes at the hospital. This includes a photo of Stephanie listening to the consultant while De Luca tries to eavesdrop, and Webber looks on from the hall. The images don’t, unfortunately, reveal who the new consultant is, and which doctor’s career might be jeopardy.

In the last episode, Parent Herald reports that Maggie and Bailey did everything in their power to keep Alex on board at the clinic. The only downside is that Catherine is now set on making some serious changes to the residency program. To complicate things even more, Leah Murphy is back at Grey Sloan Memorial and has a history with Alex and Arizona. With Leah in the mix, there’s no telling what will happen in the coming episodes.

At the same time, DeLuca and Jo’s friendship is starting to blossom into a romance. The pair has grown closer than ever after Alex beat DeLuca at the end of last season. While the future is uncertain for DeLuca and Jo, Alex is having a hard time getting along with anyone.

The surgeon butted heads with Bailey in the last episode over the diagnosis of a pregnant patient. Alex ended up being right and saved the poor woman’s child, but he made plenty of enemies along the way.

Things are only going to worse for Alex as this season of Grey’s Anatomy progresses. In fact, iTech Post reports that Alex is the one who tells everyone about the changes in management style.

Of course, at the end of the day, it’s Bailey’s decision to change things up at the hospital, and the teaser trailer for the coming episode made it clear that she has second thoughts about the decision.

Bailey is also being pressured by hospital administration to do something about Alex. She believes that he has suffered enough already for his actions, but they obviously want to take things a step further.

Alex seems a likely candidate to lose his job, but there’s no telling what Shonda Rhimes has in store this season. According to Carter Matt, fans might not learn Alex’s true fate until the winter finale.

In addition to the Alex problem, the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial will also be tasked with helping the victims of a collapsed building during the mid-season finale. While everyone is sorting through the influx of patients, Bailey and Webber continue to work through their differences.

Catherine previously told Bailey that the hospital needs to up its game in the teaching department. With Webber in charge of the education program, he might find himself out of a job in the near future. At the very least, Webber is poised for an epic confrontation with Bailey in a future episode.

Finally, one of the most interesting aspects of Alex’s storyline this season is his growing relationship with Amelia. Celebuzz reports that their friendship will only get stronger as Amelia continues to confide in Alex.

“Clearly Amelia is starting to feel really safe with Alex in a way that’s unexpected,” Caterina Scorsone, who plays Amelia on the medical drama, explained. “I don’t think she knew she was going to talk to him about her core trauma, and suddenly and unexpectedly he was this safe place for her to say something that she had not been able to say to anyone, including Derek.”

Scorsone teased that Amelia might even side with Alex as the drama at the hospital fractures relationships.

“Now she’s seeing him as this potential safe place. I don’t know how the hospital will be divided, but I imagine Amelia has some pretty affectionate feelings toward Alex right now that he was able to witness her in her darkest moments and in this unique way,” she stated.

Given Rhimes ability to shock fans, there’s no telling what she has in store for the doctors as Season 13 continues to develop.

Fans can watch the drama unfold when new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy air Thursday nights on ABC. Be sure to check out a sneak peek below.
