Kacey Musgraves Hits The Red Carpet With Stunning Dress At The 2016 CMA Awards
Kacey Musgraves’s CMA Awards 2016 dress was quite a thing of beauty that highlighted the country music artist’s elegant taste and tradition of style at the event.
Kacey Musgraves has received a nomination for a CMA Award nomination for the past three years but did not manage to take the win in those nominations. This has not kept her from showing up while clad in amazing and artistic dresses at the CMA red carpet. In this year’s CMA awards, she wore a lavender tulle tiered confection that was more of a head turner than the dress she wore in the previous year. She jokingly told People that the dress was so roomy that she could easily wear sweatpants underneath and still be comfortable.

“This is a custom Christian Siriano, I’m a big fan of his work, I was happy when he wanted to dress me and make me my own thing,” revealed Musgraves.
The Country music singer also stated that the layered dress was quite reassuring because there was a very small chance that she would face a wardrobe malfunction such as the one she encountered in 2014. She pointed out that she learned a lesson at the 2014 CMA Awards. She also joked that prior to the night of the event in 2014, she did not even know that stick-on underwear was a thing until and it ended up betraying her.
Well, Kacey’s prayers seem to have come through for her quite well this year because she was rocking an amazing dress that did not let her down. She also got a chance to sing Dolly Parton at the CMA Awards. The country music artist recently launched her new album as a gift to her fans for the Christmas holiday. The album which is titled A Very Kacey Christmas was launched on October 28.
Fans are pleased with the fact that she is willing to try new things through her musical career. She also doesn’t let her celebrity status take the best of her and tries to remain humble. Musgraves also admitted that she was shocked when she found out that she had been nominated for an award on August 1.
“I did not expect it, especially being in between albums. But either way, I’m glad to be hanging in there,” she told Rolling Stone Country. “I’m proud to be a female in country music,” explained the Country music superstar.
Kacey was accompanied by her boyfriend Ruston Kelley at the CMA event and they looked amazing as a couple. Kelley is also in the music business as a songwriter. He has written some big country hits for other artists including Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney. His writing adopts different styles including rock, folk, and indie. The female artist was nominated for the Female Vocalist of the Year award. Her competition in the same category included Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Kelsea Ballerini.

This year’s CMA was also unique because it marked the 50th anniversary of the event. The CMAs have become more recognized throughout the US and they are also a celebration of the ever-growing diversity and beauty of country music. During her live performance at the 2016 CMAs, Kacey Musgrave wore a different dress that was a lot shorter but still stylish, sexy and comfortable. She sang Dolly Parton’s song Here You Come Again which she managed to do very well and kept the audience entertained.
The combination of an amazing performance as well as the captivating dresses that she wore at the event easily made her the highlight of the 2016 CMAs. There were a few other female musicians such as Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé, whose dresses also sparked some attention.
