TNA News: Two Huge Stars Plan On Leaving The Company Soon — Future Plans?
TNA Wrestling has been dealing with problem after problem for years now, and things aren’t getting any easier. As the financial issues and lawsuit from Billy Corgan continue to cause havoc in the wrestling organization, there may be even bigger situations that are making things even harder for the company. TNA has lost a lot of big names over the past few years and now, there are two others who are heading out the door soon.
The New York Post reported that Corgan lost his bid on Monday to keep TNA Wrestling from making any major decisions without his approval. Those “decisions” include selling the company and other such things regarding talent, the tape library, and more.
When the ruling was made, it did not sit well with a lot of the talent on the TNA roster and they immediately began making it known that they were upset. WrestleZone reported on Mike Bennett taking a shot at the courts for denying Corgan’s request against TNA, but more was to follow.
Welp, back to bad business as usual????

From that point, Bennett’s real-life wife and TNA Knockout Maria Kanellis decided to take things a step further.
She not only revealed that she is planning on being done with TNA soon, but she also said she plans to be done with all of wrestling in a short amount of time. She started with WWE back in 2004 with the “Diva Search” and then went to Ring Of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and eventually to TNA where things don’t seem to be going well.
News, any news doesn’t ever tell the whole story. It will be an interesting next couple months. What I know is I am leaving wrestling soon.

I’m not exactly sure when but that’s why I went back to school. I am done in May with my bachelors. And then, I’m on to my masters degree.

Eventually everyone must realize that the road never changes until you change roads.

Before anyone can wonder if she is heading back to Ring of Honor or maybe to WWE, it doesn’t seem very likely. Obviously, she wants to take her education and do something entirely different with her life. Maria looks to be about done with the wrestling world after more than a decade in the business and she isn’t the only one.
According to 411 Mania, Davey Richards is not going to be in TNA or the wrestling profession much longer either. Richards took to Twitter on Tuesday to let the world know that he will only be performing in the ring for one more year as he’s retiring after 2017.
Richards has been out of action since much earlier this year due to an ACL injury, and it has led to Eddie Edwards, his tag partner in The Wolves, going at things by himself. Many have been wondering when he would be totally healthy and ready to wrestle again, and it seems it may be soon.
The only thing is that when he comes back, it won’t be for too long.
2017 is the last year. Been incredible and wouldn’t change a thing.
Get at me for one last time.

Later in the day, Richards spoke out a bit more about his decision and how he is at peace with it.

Richards has not necessarily said what he plans on doing after his retirement from wrestling, but after 13 years in the business, he will be ready to hang up his boots.
Maria and Bennett have only been with TNA since January of this year and it is obvious they are already fed up with it. Davey Richards joined TNA back in 2014 and has had a lot of success as he and Eddie Edwards have won the TNA World Tag Team Championships on five separate occasions.
No matter what, these two losses will just add to the long list of talents who have left TNA.
Some may not necessarily see the losses of Maria Kanellis and Davey Richards as company killers for TNA Wrestling, but they are two huge talents. It’s not also like the company hasn’t lost a large number of big-time names in the last four years, and it seems that is only going to continue as time goes on. If the organization continues on the path it is on, wrestlers leaving for other places like WWE or retiring will be the least of their worries as TNA may not exist at all.
