‘Teen Mom 2’ Cancelled: Kailyn Lowry Confirms End Of Show In New Book?

Is Teen Mom 2 getting canceled? Fans are freaking out after a passage from Kailyn Lowry’s new book, “Hustle and Heart,” due out November 22, seemingly confirmed that the MTV series was ending.

According to the Hollywood Gossip, the end may be near for Teen Mom 2 and its stars Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, and Chelsea Houska. The show is heading into Season 8, and the girls may be ready to say goodbye to the reality series that made them famous for being young mothers. Many of the show’s stars have gone on to do other things. Kailyn Lowry is set to release her third book in November. As part of the publicity for the memoir, the publisher has been releasing excerpts from the book, and one may have just dropped a huge bombshell.

In one of the most recently released excerpts, Kailyn Lowry writes that Teen Mom 2 is coming to an end.

“When we set long-term goals, we have no way of knowing how those goals will fit into our lives years down the line. When I had a child at age seventeen, I made it my mission to defy everyone’s expectations and rise above the statistics and stigmas that are stacked against me. Since 2010 I’ve been on TV, and my struggles have been my identity. Now, especially with the show coming to an end, it’s time for my accomplishments to stand out. I want to show everyone that even though I grew up like white trash and got knocked up at seventeen, I can get a Bachelor’s degree and raise children who blow people away with their manners, wit and intelligence.”

While MTV has yet to make any announcement about Teen Mom 2 ending, Kailyn’s words seem to speak volumes. Will Season 8 of the docu-series be the last? The show’s stars are all moving on in their lives, and Chelsea Houska, in particular, has made it clear that she wants more privacy now that she’s married to Cole DeBoer and expecting his child.

However, Teen Mom 2 is one of the highest rated shows on MTV, and it seems that there is a lot of story left to tell for the stars. In addition to Chelsea Houska’s new pregnancy and marriage, Jenelle Evans is also expecting her third child. Evans is currently pregnant with a little girl and looking to finally regain custody of her oldest son, Jace. Leah Messer is adjusting to being a single mother of three children and turning her life around. Meanwhile, Kailyn Lowry is going through a divorce with Javi Marroquin and is super focused on her budding career.

Although nothing has been confirmed, fans know that the show can’t last forever. However, Season 8 may not be the last, Kailyn may have been referring to the eventual end of the series in the near future.

If Teen Mom 2 does get canceled, what will that mean for Teen Mom OG? The original girls have returned to MTV to continue sharing their lives, and their stories are still unfolding as well. Would the network do an entire sweep and get rid of the franchise altogether? It’s possible. Recently, a casting call went out in search of young mothers with young children to be apart of a reality series on the network. Is MTV planning on replacing the girls with an entirely new cast? If that’s the case, then fans may not react well to the overhaul. Many viewers may remember that Teen Mom 3 didn’t do well with viewers and was canceled after just one season on the air.

Meanwhile, fans will be keeping an eye out for any signs that Teen Mom 2 or Teen Mom OG may be getting canceled.
