Chris Brown ‘Attack The Block’ Mixtape: ‘Everybody’ Singer Teams Up With OHB Crew, Section Boyz For New Project
Chris Brown is no stranger to giving the gift of new music, so when the “Everybody” singer announced that his highly anticipated joint mixtape with his OHB crew and the United Kingdom’s Section Boyz would be available for download on Friday, fans jumped at the chance to get their hands on the latest round of new music from Breezy and his crew.
The new tape, titled, Attack the Block, features a total of 16 new tracks from Brown, his OHB crew, and Section Boyz in addition to several surprise guest appearances from big names such as Ray J, French Montana, Young Lo, and TJ Luva Boy, to name a few. Chris Brown took to Twitter and Instagram on Thursday evening to announce Attack the Block‘s impending arrival before sharing a direct link to download the new project via Datpiff early Friday morning.

In order to celebrate the arrival of the new tape, Brown, alongside Section Boyz and a few members of the singer’s OHB crew, took to social media to share several audio snippets from the project before going on to host an official listening party for Attack the Block at the 17 Hertz Studio in North Hollywood, California late Friday evening. Following the conclusion of the groups’ listening party on Friday, Chris Brown took to Instagram early Saturday morning to share several photos from the listening event while showing off a few pieces from his collaborations with clothing labels Black Pyramid and BAPE.
It didn’t take long for fans to weigh in with their thoughts on the groups’ latest collaborative mixtape, which serves as a follow-up to Chris Brown and OHB’s Before the Trap: Nights in Tarzana tape which dropped back in April, with the majority of fans naming tracks such as “Everybody,” “Kriss Kross,” and “Cherry Red” among their favorites songs from the energetic project.

It’s also worth pointing out that the title of Brown, OHB, and Section Boyz’s latest project shares its name with a 2011 film that co-stars The Force Awakens’ John Boyega and Jodie Whittaker, with the plot of the film being centered around a group of South London kids who are faced with the task of taking on an alien invasion, Complex reports.
The arrival of Attack the Block comes just three months after Brown first teased the project via his personal Instagram account, revealing to fans in a since-deleted post that the collaborative mixtape, official video for his latest single, “Grass Ain’t Greener,” and highly anticipated documentary, Welcome to My Life, were all “coming soon,” albeit neglecting to offer firm release date information regarding the arrival of the new projects in his announcement. With the music video for “Grass Ain’t Greener” having dropped back in August and Attack the Block receiving a surprise release just this weekend, fans are eagerly awaiting the news of a firm release date confirmation from Brown and production company Riveting Entertainment regarding the arrival of the singer’s controversial Welcome to My Life documentary.

While Chris Brown has remained tight-lipped regarding the arrival of his upcoming studio album, the singer has already begun teasing a wealth of new music on his Instagram account since confirming the arrival of the album earlier this summer.
While fans may have to continue eagerly awaiting confirmation of an official release date for both Welcome to My Life and Lost & Found (Heartbreak on a Full Moon), it looks like Brown has no plans to slow down the release of his new music projects.
