Katy Perry Assures Rihanna That Taylor Swift Will Never Date Drake Amid Hookup Rumors

Katy Perry has allegedly told her best pal, Rihanna, that she has nothing to worry about when it comes to the alleged Drake and Taylor Swift romance.

The “Rise” singer was invited to Drake’s birthday bash earlier this week, and from what she saw, she’s certain that the Swift and the rapper will never hookup, which is why she’s left puzzled as to why reports are claiming otherwise.

Katy Perry, who didn’t interact with Swift at the birthday party, was quick to phone up Rihanna, who has been busy working on her new movie, Ocean’s 8, in New York City. It was the only reason why the “Work” hitmaker couldn’t make it to the bash this time around.

So, as one would expect, Rihanna wanted to know what went down at the party, considering how endless reports claimed that Taylor Swift had been introduced to Drake’s mother, sparking rumors that the duo is secretly dating.

But according to Hollywood Life, after Katy Perry and Rihanna had their chat, the two were both on the same page — there’s nothing going on between either of them.

“Rihanna wanted to get all the tea from Drake’s party and Katy was the one to give it to her,” an insider made it known. “She assured Rih that Drake was so not into Taylor and that Taylor didn’t even look that good, despite what the blogs and people were saying on social media.”

Katy Perry definitely seemed to have kept her eye on Taylor throughout the night, despite the fact that she avoided the “Bad Blood” singer by all means. The duo still hasn’t resolved their issues with one another, stemming from their 2014 feud over a group of backing dancers leaving Swift’s tour to join Katy Perry instead.

The source continues by adding that Perry didn’t find it hard to figure out where Taylor was at throughout the party because she always happened to stand out from the crowd with her odd dancing.

“Katy was laughing at Taylor and told Rih that [she] looked like a robot that was short of many fuses when she was dancing at the party,” the insider added. “They both got a huge chuckle out of that. Katy assured Rih that Tay Tay was not the life of the party.”

Rihanna more or less wanted to know what the situation was between Taylor Swift and Drake since it’s only been three weeks since she split from the rapper, so her phone call with Katy Perry seemed to assure her that she didn’t have to worry about Drake being linked to Swift.

Rihanna and Drake have shared their ups and downs in their eight-year on-again, off-again relationship, E! Online adds. The singer was alleged to have dumped Drizzy over fears that he didn’t want to commit himself to the relationship and start thinking about marriage and children.

Rihanna’s decision to dump him was more of her making it known that she’s not going to stay around if he doesn’t want to move forward with their romance, but there’s no denying that the “Pon De Replay” hitmaker still has feelings for Drake.

News of Katy Perry telling Rihanna not to worry about the rumors that are speculating on the internet comes just weeks after it was revealed that Perry is in the final stages of finishing her album. There’s even talks that she’ll address her feud with Swift in one of her forthcoming songs.
