Ethel Kennedy: Taylor Swift Is ‘Sensational’
While Taylor Swift is being uncharacteristically quiet about her new love Conor Kennedy an unlikely figure has decided to express her own joy about the romance. Grandmother, Ethel Kennedy couldn’t contain her excitement over Taylor Swift while at the RFK gold tournament at the Hyannisport Club on October 12. Ethel said of Taylor, “She is just spectacular. She’s just sensational inside and out.”
Although Conor and Taylor have been seen out and about frolicking on the Kennedy compounds and vacationing on the weekends, the two have kept quiet, so when Ethel Kennedy was asked if her grandson Conor, 18, is enamored by Swift, 22, Ethel said, “Yes! How could you not? I think the world has.” The elderly Kennedy continued, “You know what she really is? She’s game. She had never sailed before; she sailed. She had never gone dragging before; she dragged. She played anything that everyone else was doing. And she was good at it and no fuss. And I’m happy that we’ll be neighbors. I’m thrilled.”
It seems as though the whirlwind romance between Swift and Kennedy has taken a step in the right direction as Swift recently became their new neighbor after buying a home in Hyannis Port where the Kennedys reside. If family talk is enough evidence it seems as though it’s one whole big family affair of love for Swift, as aunt Kerry Kennedy chimed telling PEOPLE about how well Swift fits in. “She’s wonderful, we’re all so happy that she’s our neighbor in Hyannis Port. She came up several weekends this summer and she was a complete participant in every single thing with our large and active family.”
Fitting into the family is just one task they have to overcome as a famous couple. The real question is will Conor Kennedy, who’s familiar with carrying a legacy, fit into Taylor Swift’s world. All of Swift’s loves end up on the pages of the tabloids, most of the time through her own quotes to different outlets. Will Conor be able to handle that kind of attention? Only time will tell.
