Honey Boo Boo’s mom June Shannon wasn’t overly impressed with the recent South Park parody that poked fun at her family, The Huffington Post explains. During an interview with TMZ , June Shannon fired back at show creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, describing their jokes as “trashy.” Given how mean South Park can be towards those they’re lampooning, some would say that Honey Boo Boo and her family got off lightly.
“Me being a big person, I didn’t take offense … that show is just not a show that I would want to be on in the first place,” June Shannon explained to the website. “Just the way they portrayed the show … it was kinda trashy.”

In the clip you see embedded below, Honey Boo Boo ends up with a bad heart and needs to have a transplant. June Shannon and the Honey Boo Boo clan aren’t the only ones with a bone to pick with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. According to The Wrap , the duo is currently being sued over the King Lollipop character that has appeared on three episode of the award-winning animated program. The Lollipop Forest mastermind Exavier Wardlaw claims the pair stole the character from his own TV show.
“The ‘South Park’ television show and its producers, directors and writers disregarded the public copyright notice and appropriated ‘The Lollipop Forest’ for financial gain, without permission or attribution of authorship or compensation for use,” the lawsuit explains. “The ‘South Park’ television broadcast diminished/tarnished the value of ‘The Lollipop Forest’ as a wholesome family show by association within the context of unwholesome language and sexual innuendo.”
