Rapper Future To Blame In Scottie Pippen, Wife Divorce?

The ongoing divorce of Scottie Pippen and wife Larsa is poised to take a rather ugly turn as Pippen petitioned the court to amend the prenup as well as grant him full custody of their children.

Now, rumors are coming out about rapper Future being the reason for the split.

According to gossip news site Perez Hilton, insider info pointed to the former beau of singer Ciara as the third party in the relationship. The former wife of Scottie Pippen has allegedly been joining the rapper on his tour throughout the country, even boarding his private jets on the way to the performances.

Last month, for example, Larsa Pippen was reportedly seen with Future in Las Vegas.

The rumors about Future and Larsa were first reported by TMZ, which claimed that the NBA legend’s wife was seen getting “cozy” with the rapper at the Miami hotspot Komodo nightclub. The two reportedly met and hit it off during the Haute Living Color Reveal Party in Miami back in August and have been inseparable ever since.

However, Larsa’s camp claimed that it was Scottie Pippen who showed disrespect when he flirted with an unnamed actress over the summer. She also implied that her “friendship” with Future is a form of payback for his previous actions.

The insiders added that there’s no commitment between Larsa — a reality star who appears in Real Housewives of Miami — and Ciara’s former beau. The relationship was described as “casual.”

The divorce was hardly surprising considering the fact that cops have been called twice to the home of Scottie Pippen during an alleged altercation between the two. Rumors of the divorce started weeks ago, but there was speculation that the couple was taking steps to work things out in their marriage.

Meanwhile, HollywoodLife reported that Scottie Pippen wants to have full custody of the kids and to amend some stipulations in the prenup.

In a petition before the court, the legal counsel of Scottie Pippen wrote, “The Husband requests that this Court… allocates parental responsibility whereby the Husband is awarded ultimate responsibility over issues relating to education, health care, and general welfare of the minor children.”

The couple has four children: Sophia, Justin, Scottie Jr., and Preston.

Furthermore, Scottie Pippen reportedly wishes to relocate all their kids to Chicago, away from Larsa, who’s based in Miami, Florida. If the court denies his request, however, he’s prepared to stay in Florida but on the condition that the kids stay with him in his home.

“If the Petition… is not granted, then it is in the minor children’s best interests that the Husband be awarded the majority of timesharing with the minor children during the pendency of this action and permanently thereafter,” the petition added.

Meanwhile, a rep for Larsa Pippen told PageSix that there’s no truth to the cheating rumors and that the blame should be directed to the six-time NBA champion. The alleged rep told the newspaper that it was Scottie Pippen who first brought another woman to a playoff basketball game “months ago.”

“Scottie has been married to Larsa for almost two decades and has had no problems with her social media,” the alleged rep added.

Meanwhile, the basketball star’s camp claims that Larsa’s lifestyle was the reason for the tension. The rep for Scottie Pippen claimed that the final straw came through Larsa’s Kardashian-like image on social media, as well as hanging out in clubs with DJs.

Although part of Larsa’s job as a reality star requires her to maintain a high-profile lifestyle, the 51-year-old former Chicago Bull is “afraid of all the gossip that comes with that Kardashian world she’s in.”

Scottie Pippen has a reported net worth of $50 million, courtesy of his playing days with the Chicago Bulls and Portland Trailblazers as well as his many endorsements.
