What Does Gleb Savchenko’s Wife Think Of His Chemistry With Jana Kramer On ‘Dancing With The Stars’?
Gleb Savchenko and Jana Kramer performed one of the steamiest dances in Dancing With the Stars history last week, but the pro dancer has the full support of his wife of 10 years, Elena Samodanova, as he heats things up with the country singer en route to the mirrorball trophy.
After hitting the showers with Kramer as part of a water-infused Argentine tango last week, Gleb hit social media to thank his wife for always supporting him. Savchenko added that getting his first perfect score with his “perfect woman” there for him was the best feeling in the world.
Indeed, Gleb Savchenko’s wife has been a fixture in the DWTS audience throughout the season, but she’s not there to keep tabs on her man. Elena Samodanova is a producer and seasoned choreographer who has worked as a judge on Russia’s Dancing With the Stars, so she knows all about how the celebrity ballroom competition works and how close the pro dancers can get with their partners.
While Elena hasn’t spoken directly about Gleb’s undeniable chemistry with Jana, she has gone on record as being one of Team Glamer’s biggest fans.
In an interview last year with Hello magazine, Elena admitted her hunky husband gets attention wherever he goes—both on and off the dance floor. While she admitted that any lady would want a guy like Gleb, she still downplayed the chance of a strong marriage ending over a stint on a dancing competition.
“If some couples have a problem with their marriages, the break-up is going to happen anyway,” Elena said. “They are going to split for their own reasons, not because of [a dance show].'”
In the same interview, Gleb talked about how he balances his work life with his time with his family. Savchenko and Samodanova are parents to a young daughter, Olivia.
“It’s great having two women in my life but one is work, the other is family,” Gleb said. “When I wake up in the morning, I go to work and dedicate all my time to [my dance partner]. And when I go home, I give all my love and time to my wife and daughter.”
The globetrotting couple tries not to let all of their travel take a toll on their marriage. In fact, after traveling with Kramer this week, Savchenko’s mind was on his family. Gleb took to Instagram to post that he couldn’t wait to see his wife and daughter after being away from home for so long.
But how does Gleb’s work wife feel about those steamy routines with her very married pro partner? Ahead of last week’s perfect-scoring Argentine tango, Jana admitted she was nervous about her super sexy dance with Gleb.
“When he told me what we were going to do, he was like, ‘OK, you’re starting in a bed… and you’re ending in a shower,'” Kramer told Entertainment Tonight. “I was like, ‘Wait. What?’ I was freaking out.”
Gleb and Jana only practiced their dance two times with water before doing it on the live show, and while they encountered some rehearsal issues, the dance ended with a perfect score of 40, Savchenko’s first-ever perfect score as a DWTS pro dancer.
Now, Savchenko and Kramer have their eye on the prize: the 23rd Dancing With the Stars mirrorball trophy. Kramer told ET she now has a “taste” for the trophy.
This week, Gleb and Jana will dance a ’70s samba to KC and the Sunshine Band’s “Get Down Tonight.” Will they continue their hot streak on Dancing With the Stars? Stay tuned.
