Kate Middleton Dressed As Cheryl Cole For Bachelorette Party
Details of Kate Middleton’s bachelorette party prior to her 2011 wedding to Prince William have remained, predictably, under wraps.
However, pop star and indecipherable X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has given us plebs a small, tantalizing insight into how Kate celebrated her forthcoming nuptials: like many of us humble subjects, the Duchess dressed up like a pop singer and warbled the night away. See, they’re just like us really, the odd $16 million inheritance aside.
Writing in her new memoir Cheryl: My Story, Cole claims the future Queen dressed up like her to perform a tribute to the Girls Aloud singer. Cole writes:
“Kate confessed that she dressed up as me for her [bachelorette party], in a bodysuit and split trousers, and sang ‘Fight For This Love.’ “
Cole, who was set to appear on season one of Fox’s X Factor before being sacked by Simon Cowell, said that Prince William had divulged the secret to her when the Prince and pop star met at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert in June. Cole added:
“She even learnt the dance routine and was step-perfect by all accounts, as her sister Pippa and brother James also came over and told me all about it.”
As footage of Kate imitating Cheryl is unlikely to emerge anytime soon, here’s the next best thing: Cole herself strutting her stuff on the British X Factor, complete with the split trousers look borrowed by Kate Middleton:
