Kelly Ripa Co-Hosts ‘Live’ With School Teacher, Reveals Ciara Is Pregnant?
As Kelly Ripa’s co-host search stretched into its sixth month, Live with Kelly featured Pennsylvania high school teacher Richard Curtis as Ripa’s guest co-host for Friday’s show. However, prior to Curtis’ star turn as Kelly’s co-host for winning Ripa’s recent “Live With Kelly and You” contest, the morning queen co-hosted the show with singer Ciara. Did Ripa seemingly spill the beans on Ciara’s possible pregnancy?
Curtis won Live with Kelly co-hosting duties during Thursday’s show, beating out his fellow finalists in the “Kelly and You” competition that chose one non-celebrity host to pair with Ripa for the day. Richard delighted Live viewers nationwide with his go at Kelly’s co-host spot on Friday — the first-time television star is normally a technology education teacher at Souderton High School in Souderton, Pennsylvania.

While Ripa counted down the final five “Kelly and You” contestants on Live last week, the former All My Children actress teamed up with Ciara to co-host the program on Wednesday. As reported by E! News, Ciara and Ripa spent time before the taping for some one-on-one talk. With cameras rolling backstage, did Kelly accidentally let out that Ciara is pregnant? Per E! News, Kelly seemingly expressed a hushed congratulations to Ciara.
Is Ciara pregnant? As recently queried by Hollywood Life, could it be that Ciara is pregnant by husband Russell Wilson? This gossip mag posted a “telling video” on Friday purporting to offer a glimpse of Ciara’s supposedly pregnant “baby bump.” If the pregnant rumors are true, this will be Ciara and Russell Wilson’s first child together.
Kelly Ripa’s co-host quest has been underway since former Live co-host Michael Strahan left Ripa’s show for Good Morning America back in May. In the meantime, and as covered in numerous previous reports by the Inquisitr, Ripa has hosted Live with Kelly with everyone from Fred Savage and Jerry O’Connell to actor Jussie Smollett and Keegan-Michael Key of Key & Peele fame. Who will win out as Ripa’s eventual full-time co-host?
In the aftermath of Michael’s Live exit, Ripa told People that she holds no grudges against her former broadcasting partner and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee. Though animosity between Ripa and Strahan was widely reported at the time of their split, Kelly indicated that she’s forgiven Michael for any wrongdoing in his seemingly sudden retirement from the Live show.
“People make mistakes, and we’re all human. They’re human and I’m human. We all have these moments, and it’s about how you move forward and how you begin again.”
Tune in to see Kelly Ripa’s co-host guests this week on Live with Kelly. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Oct. 24-26, Ripa will be joined by singer Michael Bublé as co-host. Community star Joel McHale will finish the current week as co-host with Kelly on Thursday, Oct. 27, and Friday, Oct. 28.
