Khloe Kardsahian Divorce: Lamar Odom Still A ‘Soft Spot’ For ‘KUWTK’ Star, Source Reports

Khloe Kardashian’s divorce from Lamar Odom is one step closer to being finalized after sources report that both Khloe and Lamar have signed off on the divorce settlement.

Though both Khloe and Lamar have signed off on the paperwork, the divorce won’t be finalized until a judge signs off on the agreement. Under California law, those filing for divorce must wait six months from the date of filing before a judge will sign off on the paperwork, so Kardashian and Odom will still technically be married until at least December.

But still, Khloe and Lamar are coming to an end. The famous couple is reaching the end of their divorce ordeal, which when it’s all said and done will have taken more than three years. Khloe filed for divorce the first time in December of 2013.

According to reports, Khloe is relieved to finally be close to finished with the entire divorce process, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

In fact, an unnamed source for Hollywood Life reports that Kardashian is having several strong emotions, including worry.

“Khloe can easily get into a tailspin about Lamar so she is really practicing trying not to get overly emotional right now. Lamar is a really soft spot for her because she is torn between feeling betrayed and angry, yet incredibly guilty and worried for him.”

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and former Los Angeles Lakers player married after a whirlwind engagement in 2009, and after years of alleged substance abuse and infidelity, Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Odom in December of 2013.

The divorce proceedings took quite some time. In fact, they took so long that TMZ described the proceedings as “stagnated,” writing that Khloe spent almost two years going “back and forth, trying at times to save their relationship and save Lamar.”

Then came Lamar’s now famous Las Vegas brothel overdose in October of 2015, where he nearly died from a dangerous mixture of cocaine and sexual performance enhancing drugs. Kardashian rushed to Odom’s hospital bed, where she stayed for weeks as she attempted to nurse her estranged husband back to health.

Khloe quickly called off the divorce so that she could serve as Odom’s caretaker, and she eventually moved him back to Los Angeles so she could continue to care for him throughout his recovery and rehabilitation.

But soon after he made his full recovery, Odom was spotted partying and drinking alcohol once again. Soon after, when it became obvious that Odom wouldn’t change his ways, Khloe filed for divorce for a second time. That was in May.

Khloe has since moved on from her relationship with Lamar, first dating Houston Rockets player James Harden, and more recently hooking up with Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson.

Kardashian and Thompson have recently been spotted together on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, and before that they were seen together at a nightclub in Los Angeles. Additionally, Kardashian has been seen courtside at Thompson’s games.

According to an unnamed source for Hollywood Life, Kardashian is doing her best to spend her energy on her relationship with Thompson, among other things.

“She’s focusing on her new life, her new body, her new romance and staying positive right now.”
