Killer Clown Prank Ends In U.S. Student’s Death By Landmine

A killer clown prank in Cambodia ended in the death of a U.S. student after he ran into an area of the jungle that was riddled with landmines.

An unidentified American student was scaring the residents of Samraong, located in northwest Cambodia, according to the Mirror.

Residents were fed up with the killer clown imposter’s antics and decided to chase him away from the town, due to the aggressive manner that he approached the residents. As he ran from the angry mob, he chose to hide out in the jungle. He was not aware that the jungle was riddled with landmines.

Shortly after the killer clown disappeared into the jungle, residents heard a loud blast and realized he must have stepped on a landmine.

When the body was found, it was so mutilated that identification was impossible.

It is believed that the killer clown is a U.S. student that was visiting relatives in Cambodia, according to the Evening Standard.

After the blast was heard from within the jungle, some of the residents cautiously entered the thick trees in hopes that somehow the killer clown was still alive. Others went to the local police in hopes they would investigate the blast.

Upon further investigation, police are confident that the mangled remains are those of a 25-year-old U.S. student that was reported missing the day the incident happened. However, that cannot be completely verified due to the condition of the body.

The killer clown prank went too far as the student chose to terrorize the town of Samraong. The residents believed the killer clown to be an evil spirit and they had no choice but to chase him out of the town, in hopes that he would never return. The men that chased the killer clown were confident that he was not an evil spirit. However, to ease the worry of the other residents, they chose to take on the task of chasing the clown out of the house.

“A group of men came out of their houses and gave chase to the man wearing the mask. They didn’t want to hurt him, but they wanted to find out who it was and make him apologise to the people he’d scared.”

As the men chased the killer clown to the edge of the jungle, they stopped the pursuit, due to the dangers of entering the thick tree line. However, the U.S. student did not stop, possibly unaware of the dangers within. The men yelled out warnings to the killer clown, but he did not head them. Instead, he continued onward, stated the captain of the police force.

“But he just kept running, and moments later their worst fears were realised when an explosion rang out.”

Over the last three decades, nearly 40,000 individuals have become amputees due to the landmines in the jungles of Cambodia.

The killer clown craze has been a recent trend in the United States and has found its way to other lands, such as the United Kingdom, Australia, and even Cambodia. Most of the instances are nothing more than harmless pranks. Although, many killer clowns have found themselves in danger as their victims turn the tables and attack the killer clowns.

Some have referred to the uprise of killer clowns as the “Floppy Shoes Apocalypse,” similar to the zombie apocalypse, but more anticlimactic in nature.
