Ninety-Minute ‘Talking Dead’ Aims To Console ‘Walking Dead’ Fans After Negan’s Expected Kill Of Beloved Character In ‘TWD’ Season 7 Premiere
The highly anticipated Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead airs tonight, and fans will no doubt be devastated after witnessing a beloved character receive a fatal, brutal beating from super villain Negan and his menacing bat, Lucille.
To console those who might have trouble processing the outcome of this explosive episode, Chris Hardwick will be hosting a special 90-minute Talking Dead filmed live at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California, which will feature a cavalcade of guests on the after show’s panel.
Who get's NEGANED TONIGHT??? I have a guess, I'll save it for closer to time @WalkingDead_AMC #TWDSeason7 pic.twitter.com/3MWVNzbmbG

According to WetPaint, Talking Dead will serve as the “perfect therapy” immediately following a Walking Dead episode that will “probably leave us in tears.”

Instead of the two or three guests that Hardwick typically has on his AMC after show, WetPaint reports that around 15 celebrities are slated to appear to discuss the episode entitled, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.”

The Detroit Free Press reports that Walking Dead cast members including Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Ross Marquand (Aaron), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) will all appear on Talking Dead to talk about the Season 7 premiere and the devastating death (or deaths) that took place.

Interestingly enough, each one of these cast members, with the exception of Morgan who plays Negan, is at risk of getting skull smashed Sunday night by Lucille, the barbed wire bat.

The Walking Dead executive producers, Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman (also the creator of the show), will be on hand as well because they “are going to have a lot of explaining to do to… fans… nationwide,” according to the Detroit Free Press.
Talking Dead host Hardwick has always said he does not watch any new episodes of The Walking Dead until the day they are slated to air. That way, he has no secrets to hide and can find out what happens in the series along with fans of the show.

Entertainment Tonight reports it spoke to Hardwick last month about the Walking Dead Season 7 premiere, asking him who he thought Negan would target for the brutal death. Hardwick responded with, “Oh, God, I don’t know! I could see it being almost… well, everyone except for Carl… But I could see it being anyone.”
Hardwick added that he thought Negan “…could go with Abraham since he’s the biggest one” or possibly “…with Maggie [and her unborn child] just because Negan is being a d***. I don’t know! It’s plaguing me.”

Talking Dead regular, Yvette Nicole Brown (The Odd Couple, Community) will also be a guest on the after show tonight, according to her Twitter page. Brown wrote, “For those who didn’t hear, I WILL be on @AMCTalkingDead tonight. I’m scared. How are you guys holding up?”

In a follow-up post she noted, “And nope, I’m not ready. I’ll be on @AMCTalkingDead tonight & I still will NOT be ready…”

Brown’s words likely ring true for many Walking Dead fans who are anxious, worried, tense, and terrified, but also very excited to see some sort of resolution to the Season 6 finale on the show tonight.
Nevertheless, it’s probably wise for fans to take the advice of the Detroit Free Press, which recommends having ready a “…box of tissues in case of excessive weeping.”

And, thankfully, the 90-minute Talking Dead special will give viewers “enough time to recuperate from one of the most brutal episodes in TV history,” according to WetPaint.
