TWICE K-Pop Comeback: JYP Entertainment Girl Group Hypes Anticipated Return With Teasers For ‘TWICEcoaster: LANE 1’ And Title Track ‘TT’ [Images And Videos]
The 2016 K-pop Fall and Winter seasons, which includes the transitional season between the two, is turning out to be the busiest time of year when it comes to K-pop in general. As of now, many K-pop girl groups have made their K-pop comeback during this particular time. DIA came back with “Mr. Potter;” Apink came back with “Only One,” And so far, the biggest comeback was Red Velvet with “Russian Roulette.”
It should be noted that SM Entertainment’s Red Velvet is the only K-pop girl group of “The Big Three” to make their comeback so far this season. However, their other two competitors are not far behind. YG Entertainment’s Black Pink will make their comeback on Tuesday, November 1, but right now, everyone is hyped for Twice’s comeback with TWICEcoaster: LANE 1 and its title track “TT.” Twice and JYP Entertainment have released a lot of teasers, specifically images and videos, to help keep the anticipation strong among K-pop fans, especially Once (devoted fans of Twice) until it releases.
The first teasers released for Twice were, of course, images. Group images were cool to view as it showed all nine members, including Nayeon, Jeaongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu as friends and co-members, but it is their individual teaser images that are unique. According to Soompi, each member showcased a step-by-step dance move for their upcoming music video for title track “TT.”
Eventually, Twice and JYP Entertainment would release two teaser videos for their upcoming K-pop comeback. The first video, which is shown above, is an overall teaser for TWICEcoaster: LANE 1. Through it, we learn that their third extended play (EP), or mini-album, will feature seven songs. They are “TT,” “1 To 10,” “Ponytail,” “Jelly Jelly,” “Pit-a-Pat,” “Next Page,” and “One in a Million.” Each song is sampled while providing details such as who did lyrics, composition, and arrangement. Also, more individual and group photos are featured in an animated collage style too.
However, the one video that got everyone’s attention was the music video teaser for “TT.” From what we can see from said teaser, the music video will have a Halloween theme, which makes sense given that Halloween is just seven days after TWICEcoaster: LANE 1 drops. Nevertheless, the hype for said music video teaser was so strong, it almost attained two million views since it was uploaded on Thursday, October 20, as reported by AllKpop.
Twice will comeback with their third extended play (EP) or mini-album, TWICEcoaster: LANE 1, on Monday, October 24. For K-pop fans who want their copy, especially those who are Once members, pre-orders are being taken on YesAsia. There are two versions of the album (A and B Versions), and there are special orders, which will include posters and photo card sets.
